Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
The Lourdes University Volleyball team came up a bit short in Michigan at the UM-Dearborn Tournament over the weekend losing a pair of games on Saturday to St. Francis-Illinois and to Bethel University.

The team had an early morning start battling against a tough St. Francis-Illinois squad at 8:30am. The Gray Wolves just could not find their stride and as they would lose in three sets by scores of22-25, 12-25, 17-25. Inconsistent play would plague the Gray Wolves throughout the match.
Game two followed up at 10:30am against Bethel College and more of the same problems from then first match of the day would carry over as the Gray Wolves would drop the match-up in three sets 20-25, 11-25, 15-25.

“All in all it was a tough tournament but the ladies showed toughness battling through games against quality opponents. We just need to be stronger near the end of matches” said Coach Greg Reitz. “We will get there, this group of young ladies is still coming together and we will find that spark soon”.

The Lourdes women's volleyball team will have little time to collect their thoughts before the season home opener on Wednesday August 31st at the Tam-O-Shanter at 7pm against WHAC opponent Concordia University.

To celebrate the first home match of the 2011 season Lourdes University will be holding a Fall Fest Tailgate Party starting at 3pm to 6pm next to the Mother Adelaide Hall to welcome students back to school.
