Box Score The First set of the match was not the prettiest one might say when they watched it. The Lourdes University Gray Wolves shot themselves in the foot early on not being able to put away kill chances and fell behind early 10-1 but battled back in the set near the end only to lose a close one 22-25. The Gray Wolves were able to fend off set point four straight times igniting excitement in the crowd. Set one stats included Asbury 16 kills, Lourdes with 11. Seven errors were committed by the Gray Wolves and five by the Eagles. Lourdes had 51 total attempts to 45 by the Eagles.
Set two saw complete control from the Asbury Eagles as they dominated from the get go in winning the set 25-12. The Gray Wolves had multiple opportunities but just never were able to get going. Asbury University finished the set with 11 kills to Lourdes seven. Lourdes committed seven costly errors to Asbury's two.
Set three belonged to the Eagles as well as they defeated the Gray Wolves 25-13 to claim the 2nd Annual Gray Wolf Invite.
The Gray Wolves will next play in Livonia, MI on Wednesday the 21st vs. Madonna University as they open up WHAC conference play at 7pm.
