Box Score The Lourdes University women's volleyball team suffered their first conference loss of the season on the road in Livonia, MI. as they took on the #16 ranked Madonna University Crusaders Wednesday night in three sets.
The Gray Wolves battled hard all evening and the match itself was a lot closer than the score indicated. The Gray Wolves lost 15-25, 14-25 and 12-25.

Greg Reitz commented that “They are just a powerful team. We played tough and it was a valuable learning lesson for us. I am proud of how we played but give credit to Madonna they might be the best team in the conference”.

Amelia Horton had a solid night on the court as she played in all three sets collecting six kills in 17 total attempts.
As a team the Gray Wolves just struggled being able to finish at the net. Madonna produced 15 blocks on the night while allowing only 22 kills for the Gray Wolves. The stat that hurt the Lourdes squad the most was errors. Lourdes finished with 17 to only 9 for the Crusaders.
