Lourdes drops a tough one against Indiana Tech

Box Score
The Lourdes University women's volleyball team had a rough night in Fort Wayne, IN. as they fell to the #10 ranked team in NAIA the Warriors of Indiana Tech in straight sets 14-24, 15-25 and 13-25. Dropping the overall record now to 3-8. The game was a non-conference game against a conference opponent.

For the Gray Wolves finding an early rhythm in sets has been hard to come by lately and especially taking on a solid traditionally strong team like Indiana Tech on the road one cannot afford to many mistakes but that is what happened for Lourdes University on Wednesday evening.

“Indiana Tech came in as the number 10 team in the country and we gave them far too many points because of that. We played tentatively and they took advantage of it. I would have loved to see us play our best to get a solid gauge of what we are capable of but we didn't” said Head Coach Greg Reitz following the loss.

The biggest struggle on the night was being able to produce kills at the net which the Warriors dominated the stats category with a 39-15 advantage. Hannah Thompson led the way for the Gray Wolves in the digs category with 12 on the evening.

Next up for the Gray Wolves is a home match against Marygrove College on Wednesday September 14th at the TAM-O-SHANTER with first serve starting at 7pm.
