Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes heads into the final stretch of the 2013 regular season this week with three matches, including a key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference road tilt.  The Gray Wolves begin the week at 23rd-ranked Davenport on Wednesday night, looking for the opportunity to move up the conference ledger in their final road match of the regular season.  Lourdes then heads home on Saturday to begin the final homestand of the year with a pair of non-conference contests against Calumet and Huntington.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his fourth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 62-66 (.484) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 81-100 (.448) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Davenport has won all five previous meetings against Lourdes dating back to the 2011 season.  Last year the Panthers posted a four-set victory over the Gray Wolves at Tam-o-Shanter during the regular season before defeating Lourdes in straight sets in the quarterfinals of the WHAC Tournament.  Lourdes lost the only previous meeting in Grand Rapids in three sets on Nov. 4, 2011.  Lourdes won the only previous meeting against Calumet, 3-2, on Aug. 18, 2012 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  This is the Crimson Wave's first trip to Tam-o-Shanter.  Lourdes and Huntington split a pair of meetings in 2010, the only season they have played one another.  The Gray Wolves won in five sets at Tam-o-Shanter while the Foresters were 3-0 victors in Huntington, Ind.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes used a balanced offensive attack on Wednesday evening to notch a quick 25-9, 25-16, 25-15 victory over Michigan-Dearborn at Tam-o-Shanter.  Sam Dibert and Keyonna Gregory each recorded a match-high eight kills.  On Friday, Lourdes took to the road, knocking off Crossroads League leader Bethel (Ind.) 25-18, 25-16, 25-20 behind a .308 offensive hitting night.  Stef Comte led the Gray Wolves with 12 kills.

Scouting Davenport: The Panthers have won 10 of their last 12 matches overall and are coming off of a 3-1 victory over #13 Bellevue (Neb.) on Saturday afternoon.  Amber Getty leads the country with 1,323 assists while Olivia DenHartigh has a team-leading 363 kills.  As a team Davenport is fourth in the NAIA with 1,721 kills.  Sidney Rodriguez has a team-leading 507 digs while Hannah Stone's 113 blocks rank 20th in the country.

Scouting Calumet: The Crimson Wave have won two straight matches after defeating Robert Morris (Ill.) and Trinity International last Saturday, both in five sets.  Calumet plays at Purdue-North Central on Thursday before visiting Lourdes on Saturday.  Kelsey McFarlane leads the team with 337 kills while Rachel Eizenga has handed out 809 assists.  Danielle Burge has recorded a team-leading 528 digs while Sophie Kessler has notched a team-best 38 blocks.

Scouting Huntington: The Foresters have dropped four straight matches after falling in straight sets at Indiana Wesleyan last Wednesday.  Huntington plays at Bethel (Ind.) on Tuesday before traveling to Lourdes.  Melissa Gross man leads the Foresters with 264 kills this year while adding 102 blocks defensively.  Jensen Carnahan has handed out 918 assists while Codie Morey has a team-best 422 digs.

Nearing a Winning Season: Lourdes needs just one win the remainder of the season to be assured of finishing the year over .500 for just the second time in program history.  The Gray Wolves finished four games over .500 in 2010 and enter this week five games over the .500 mark.

Securing a Home Match: Lourdes has assured itself a home match for the first round of the WHAC tournament on Nov. 13.  The Gray Wolves will face an opponent still to be determined beginning at 7 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.  Lourdes students will be admitted free with ID while all others will be charged $5 at the door per WHAC regulations.

Quite a Hitting Night: Lourdes .308 hitting percentage in the win against Bethel (Ind.) was the Gray Wolves' fourth best hitting night in program history.  The school record was .519 set against Ohio State-Marion last season.

Jimenez Fifth in Single Season Digs: With a minimum of five matches remaining in the regular season, Michi Jimenez has already moved into fifth place on Lourdes single season digs chart.  The sophomore has 346 digs this season, 14 shy of fourth place and 17 behind third.  Jimenez already holds the school's career dig record with 794 in less than two full seasons.

Record-Setting Pace: Keyonna Gregory and Stef Comte are both on pace to set the school's single season record for hitting percentage.  Gregory enters the week hitting .279 on the year while Comte is connecting at a .271 clip.  The current school mark for hitting percentage with a minimum 100 swings is .214 set by Brooke Hearn during the 2011 campaign.

Captains Named: Allegra Recknagel and Alyssa Pelish have been selected as team captains for the 2013 season.  Recknagel will be a captain for the second straight year, making her just the second two-time captain in program history.  Hannah Thompson was a team captain in both 2010 and 2011.

This and That: Michi Jimenez needs six assists for 500 in her career ... Stephanie Richards has 243 kills this year, fifth most for a single season in program history ... Keyonna Gregory's 49 blocks are second most on the single season charts.
