Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes looks to keep its postseason run alive on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Georgetown, Ky. to face the Georgetown College Tigers in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. The Gray Wolves are making their first appearance in the national championships in just the program's fourth season overall.
Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his fourth season on the Lourdes bench,
Greg Reitz has a 68-68 (.500) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 87-102 (.460) career mark. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Georgetown leads the all-time series against Lourdes 1-0 after defeating the Gray Wolves 3-0 earlier this season as part of the Rumpke Invitational in Georgetown, Ky. on Sept. 6. Lourdes is 2-6 all-time against Mid-South Conference opponents, but posted a 2-2 mark this season, defeating Saint Catharine (Ky.), splitting two matches with Rio Grande, and losing to Georgetown.
Earlier This Season: Georgetown, then ranked #7 in the nation, defeated the Gray Wolves 25-15, 25-18, 25-11 on Sept. 6 in the first match of the Rumpke Invitational on the Tigers' campus.
Stephanie Richards led Lourdes with nine kills while
Alyssa Pelish had 12 digs. The Gray Wolves hit just .082 in the match while Georgetown hit .414 led by eight kills from Allyson Wilbourn, Rachel Eubanks, and Ashlee Howe. Lindsey Martindale had a match-high 14 digs.
Wrapping Up WHAC Tournament Action: Lourdes posted a straight sets victory over Marygrove at home in the first round of the WHAC tournament before tallying back-to-back upsets of #20 Davenport and #23 Cornerstone, both in five sets, in the quarterfinals and semifinals. The Gray Wolves tournament run came to an end in the title match as Lourdes lost 3-0 to #4 Madonna, with both schools earning the automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships.
Scouting Georgetown (Ky.): The Tigers earned the Mid-South Conference tournament championship with a five-set victory over Lindsey Wilson in the title match. Caraline Maher ranks seventh in the nation hitting .390 and leads Georgetown with 427 kills this year while adding 122 blocks. Lindsey Martindale has a team-leading 884 assists while Courtney Grafton has tallied a team-best 45 aces. Kristen Schellhaas leads the Tigers with 510 digs defensively.
Award Winners: Keyonna Gregory became the first Lourdes player in program history to earn First Team All-WHAC honors while
Michi Jimenez was named Honorable Mention All-WHAC for the second straight year.
Stef Comte was named to the WHAC All-Freshman Team while
Alyssa Pelish was named to the league's Champions of Character Team.

Allegra Recknagel were all named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for their efforts both on the floor and in the classroom.
First Ranked Victories: Lourdes entered the WHAC tournament 0-11 all-time against ranked opponents, having won just one of 34 total sets. That all changed when the Gray Wolves rallied from 2-1 down to defeat #20 Davenport in five sets in the quarterfinals before posting a five-set win against #23 Cornerstone in the semis. Lourdes is now 2-12 all-time against ranked foes.
Program Records: Lourdes has matched the inaugural 2010 team for a program record 21 victories this season. The Gray Wolves also set a school-record with its six-match winning streak (Nov. 2-16) that snapped by Madonna in the WHAC title match.
Five Set Thrillers: Lourdes has posted a 5-1 record in five-set matches this year and has won 10 of its last 11 five-set contests dating back to the end of the 2011 season.
Climbing the Single Season Charts: As a team Lourdes has set several new school records as a team heading into the NAIA National Championships. The Gray Wolves have tallied 1,438 kills and handed out 1,362 assists, both new marks. Lourdes has tallied 202 blocks this year, also a new mark. The Gray Wolves also rank second in hitting percentage at .142 (behind 2010, .165) and digs with 2,000 (behind 2010, 2,009).
Record-Setters: Keyonna Gregory and
Stef Comte enter the NAIA National Championships atop the school's single season record for hitting percentage. Gregory enters the week hitting .275 on the year while Comte is connecting at a .235 clip. The current school mark for hitting percentage with a minimum 100 swings, was .214 set by Brooke Hearn during the 2011 campaign.
Allegra Recknagel has also set the school's single season assist record with 794 helpers while
Michi Jimenez broke the single season dig record with 492.
Career Leaders: Ali Mass is the kills record-holder with 710 while
Keyonna Gregory's .275 hitting percentage is tops all-time.
Michi Jimenez is the digs record-holder with 940 while
Andrea Brown holds the blocking record with 138.
Ali Mass, who has played in the most matches all-time (106) is second with 68 aces while
Allegra Recknagel's 1,253 assists also rank second.
Captains: Allegra Recknagel and
Alyssa Pelish are the team captains for the 2013 season. Recknagel is a captain for the second straight year, making her just the second two-time captain in program history.
This and That: Lourdes served up 22 aces while surrendering just seven during the WHAC tournament ... the Gray Wolves are now .500 all-time with a 68-68 record ...
