Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes University is set for a busy week of volleyball as the Gray Wolves play five matches away from home.  The Gray Wolves open the week with a non-league tilt at conference foe Lawrence Tech on Wednesday before traveling to Georgetown, Ky. this weekend for the Rumpke Invitational.  Lourdes will face seventh-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) as well as Saint Thomas (Fla.) on Friday before battling Xavier (La.) and Indiana-Southeast on Saturday.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his fourth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 50-58 (.463) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 70-93 (.429) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 6-0 all-time against Lawrence Tech after winning all three matches in 2012 by 3-1 scores against the Blue Devils.  Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Mich.  Lourdes has never faced any of its four opponents at the Rumpke Invitational- Georgetown (Ky.), Saint Thomas (Fla.), Xavier (La.), and Indiana-Southeast in program history.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes needed five sets in its home opener to come away victorious against WHAC foe Siena Heights 25-15, 15-25, 18-25, 26-24, 15-9 in a non-conference tilt at Tam-o-Shanter.  Angie Pagan-Perez led Lourdes with 12 kills and 14 digs while Lexie Curtis added 12 digs and a team-high 31 assists in the victory on Wednesday night while Keyonna Gregory added 11 kills and Alyssa Pelish tallied 17 digs.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils won three of four matches last weekend at the Purdue-North Central tournament, sweeping Alverno, Indiana-Northwest, and Indiana-Kokomo before falling in five sets to the host Panthers.  Mary Armstrong has tallied a team-leading 42 kills thus far this year while Cassidy Porta has registered 70 digs.

Scouting Georgetown (Ky.): The Tigers are ranked seventh in the nation in the NAIA preseason poll and opened the year winning three of four last weekend, with the lone loss coming in five sets to Columbia (Mo.), the tournament hosts.  Georgetown faces Bluefield and Pikeville at home on Tuesday and Wednesday in Mid-South Conference matches before hosting Lourdes.

Scouting Saint Thomas (Fla.): The Bobcats enter the week having won three straight matches at the Embry-Riddle tournament over the weekend after dropping the first match of the event to Northwestern Ohio.  Saint Thomas will face Indiana-Southeast and Spalding on Wednesday before heading to the Georgetown tournament.

Scouting Xavier (La.): The Gold Nuggets won the first three matches at the Saint Thomas (Texas) tournament last weekend before falling in five sets to Montana Tech to conclude the event.  Xavier is facing Spring Hill on the road on Tuesday night before heading to the Rumpke Invitational.

Scouting Indiana-Southeast: The Grenadiers opened the season with a conference victory at Alice Lloyd before falling at Lindsey Wilson to open the 2013 season last week.  Indiana-Southeast will face Spalding and Saint Thomas (Fla.) on Wednesday before heading to Georgetown.

Schedule Changes: Saturday's matches against Xavier (La.) and Indiana-Southeast have been flipped-flopped from the original schedule.  The Gray Wolves will now play  Xavier first.  In addition, Lourdes Oct. 4 match against Aquinas has been moved to Southview High School.

On to the Next 50: With Lourdes victory over Siena Heights on Wednesday, the Gray Wolves tallied victory number 50 in school history.  Lourdes began women's volleyball in 2010 and has a 50-58 all-time record in its fourth season of competition.

Pair Have First Collegiate Double-Doubles: Angie Pagan-Perez and Lexie Curtis each tallied their first collegiate double-doubles in the victory over Siena Heights.  Pagan-Perez led Lourdes with 12 kills and had 14 digs while Curtis had 31 assists and 12 digs.

Facing Ranked Foes: Lourdes is looking for its first win ever against a ranked opponent when the Gray Wolves battle #7 Georgetown (Ky.) on Saturday.  Lourdes is 0-8 all-time against NAIA top-25 teams.

Captains Named: Allegra Recknagel and Alyssa Pelish have been selected as team captains for the 2013 season.  Recknagel will be a captain for the second straight year, making her just the second two-time captain in program history.  Hannah Thompson was a team captain in both 2010 and 2011.

This and That: Keyonna Gregory had a career-high 11 kills and hit .500 against Siena Heights ... Lourdes has won its last four five-set matches ... Gregory is the only player to have played in all 20 sets this season ... Lourdes is playing 10 of its first 11 matches away from home this year.
