Lourdes won its third straight match on Wednesday evening, defeating Lawrence Tech 25-15, 25-21, 25-23 at the Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, Mich.
The victory in the non-conference match against a fellow Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe improves the Gray Wolves to a perfect 7-0 all-time against the Blue Devils.

The Gray Wolves took control early in set one. With the set tied at seven, Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) served six straight points to give Lourdes control. The Gray Wolves hit .458 in the opening set, committing just two attack erors.

Comte served the first five points of set two as well and Lourdes held the lead throughout most of the set. A late 5-0 run by the Blue Devils allowed Lawrence Tech to take a 21-20 lead, but Comte served out the set to give the Gray Wolves a 2-0 lead in the match.

In the third set, Lourdes trailed 13-10 before Angie Pagan-Perez (Toa Baja, P.R./Bayamon Military Academy) spearheaded a 5-0. The Gray Wolves slowly stretched the lead out to 24-20 before holding on for the victory.

Katie McKenty (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 10 kills while Pagan-Perez added nine more. Ali Mass (Walbridge, Ohio/Tiffin Calvert H.S.) notched seven kills and a match-high 10 digs while Lexie Curtis (Toledo, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) handed out 31 assists.

Mary Armstrong led Lawrence Tech (3-6) with 14 kills while hitting .583. Cassidy Porta and Jessica Frankes added nine digs each.
Lourdes (4-2) will return to action on Friday, taking part in the Rumpke Invitational hosted by Georgetown (Ky.). The Gray Wolves with face the seventh-ranked hosts in the opener at 1 p.m. before battling Saint Thomas (Fla.) at 5 p.m. at David Reid Memorial Gymnasium in Georgetown, Ky.
