Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes closes out the home portion of the 2014 schedule this week with three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests. The Gray Wolves entertain Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday evening before battling both Cornerstone and Northwestern Ohio on Saturday. Â
Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his fifth season on the Lourdes bench,
Greg Reitz has a 82-81 (.503) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has an 102-116 (.468) career mark. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 5-2 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn after posting a three sets victory over the Wolverines on Sept. 24 in Dearborn, Mich. The Gray Wolves are 3-0 against Michigan-Dearborn at Tam-o-Shanter, and have won four straight overall in the series. Cornerstone is 4-1 all-time against Lourdes after a three-set win on Sept. 27 in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Golden Eagles won in their only previous appearance at Tam-o-Shanter, with the Gray Wolves lone win in the series coming Nov. 16, 2013 in five sets in the WHAC tournament. Northwestern Ohio is 6-0 all-time against Lourdes, including a 1-0 mark at Tam-o-Shanter. The Racers won the first meeting this year in straight sets.
Also on Saturday: Lourdes is hosting one of three WHAC crossovers on Saturday. In addition to the Lourdes matches, Michigan-Dearborn meets Northwestern Ohio at noon before playing Cornerstone at 2:30 p.m. at Tam-o-Shanter.

Stef Comte hit .450 with 12 kills in the win for the Gray Wolves. On Sept. 27, Lourdes fell 25-20, 25-23, 25-16 at Cornerstone on Sept. 27.Â
Stephanie Richards paced the Gray Wolves with 13 kills while Megan Newhouse had 11 for the Golden Eagles. Lourdes dropped a 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 decision at Northwestern Ohio on Sept. 26.Â
Erin O'Neil tallied nine kills for the Gray Wolves while Chanel Cantere had 10 kills and 12 digs for the Racers.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes tallied a four-set victory at Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday night in Ann Arbor, Mich.Â
Angie Pagan-Perez led the Gray Wolves with 18 kills while
Stephanie Richards added 16 kills and 21 digs. The Gray Wolves stepped out of WHAC play on Saturday to earn a four-set home win over Bethel (Ind.). Pagan-Perez had 22 kills and 16 digs.
Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines are still looking for their first victory of the season after falling in straight sets at Indiana-East on Friday evening. Megan Ynclan leads Michigan-Dearborn with 171 kills while Kelly Merkle has handed out a team-leading 321 assists. Rebecca Carley has 331 digs on the year while Natasha Hampton has tallied 46 blocks.
Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles have won seven straight matches after sweeping both Rochester (Mich.) and William Penn last Saturday at home. Callie Schultz has tallied 252 kills, is hitting .284, and has 95 blocks while Hope Leppink has handed out 873 assists. Amber Carmean has tallied 384 digs while Megan Newhouse has 254 kills and 378 digs on the year. Cornerstone travels to Davenport on Wednesday before heading to Lourdes.
Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers enter the week having won seven straight matches following a sweep of Grace Bible on Saturday. Northwestern Ohio heads to Aquinas on Wednesday before traveling to Lourdes. Chanel Cantere leads the way for the Racers with 459 kills and 375 digs while Hailey Rosinski has handed out 1,047 assists. Jennifer VanVleet has been involved in a team-best 72 blocks.
Looking to Secure a WHAC Tourney Bid: With six matches remaining in the regular season, Lourdes is on the verge of securing a spot in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament Nov. 14-15. The Gray Wolves need a combination of two victories, two losses by Lawrence Tech, or one of each to be assured a spot in the postseason.
Pagan-Perez Swings Big: Angie Pagan-Perez led Lourdes last week with 40 kills in the two matches. The sophomore averaged 5.0 kills per set for the week, tallying 18 kills against Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday before registering a career-high 22 in the win against Bethel (Ind.) on Saturday.
Acing the Competition: Lexie Curtis has now tallied 46 service aces this season, breaking Hannah Thompson's 2011 single season record. Curtis, who entered the season with just five aces in her career, is fourth on the school's career list as well with 51 in under two years. She is one shy of Jordan Kerr's (2010-2011) third place mark of 52 aces.
Looking to Rewrite Own Record: Michi Jimenez enters the week with 456 digs on the season, the second highest single season total in school history. The junior libero is just 59 digs shy of breaking her own school mark of 515 set last season.

Mallory Lenhart, and
Carolyn Manley have been named Gray Wolf tri-captains for this season. Jimenez is a junior libero who is a two-time Honorable Mention All-WHAC pick. Lenhart and Manley are both in their first seasons at Lourdes, having transferred to the school in the offseason.
This and That: Lexie Curtis ranks 17th in NAIA averaging 0.54 aces per set and is 28th overall with 46 total aces ... Lourdes is 11-0 this season when winning the third set.
