Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: After snapping a three-match losing skid on Saturday afternoon, Lourdes begins its final road trip of the season this week.  The Gray Wolves will be on the road for three straight matches, including contests this week at second-ranked Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday and at Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon.

Head Coach Jackie Donovan: In her first season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Donovan has a 5-5-1 (.500) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: As has been a common theme for the Gray Wolves this season, Lourdes has never faced Northwestern Ohio or Concordia (Mich.) in women's soccer.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves managed just four shot attempts on Wednesday evening in a 3-0 loss on the road at Cornerstone.  Erika Brinkman made nine saves in the setback for Lourdes.  The Gray Wolves rebounded on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 shutout victory at home against Indiana Tech.  Brinkman made 10 stops while Jada Foster and Jessica Grindle each found the back of the net.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have won four straight matches after blanking Madonna 2-0 at home on Saturday afternoon.  Northwestern Ohio is ranked second nationally, having suffered losses to #1 Lindsey Wilson and #15 Grace, both on the road.  Laura Blanchard leads Northwestern Ohio with six goals on the year and shares the team lead in points with Camilla Anderson, as both have 13 points.  Vanessa Barcelleiro leads the Racers in assists, having dished out four helpers.  Nadine Stonjek has played the majority of the minutes for UNOH in goal, sporting a 0.67 goals against average and a .741 save percentage.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals had their three-match win streak snapped last Wednesday, suffering a 1-0 loss to 15th-ranked Siena Heights.  Concordia hosts Madonna on Saturday before heading to Lourdes.  Julia Palushaj leads Concordia with 13 goals and 27 total points while Heather Emke has tallied eight goals and has 17 points.  Lora Palushaj leads the Cardinals with six assists as part of her 10 points.  Maria Lulgjuraj has played a majority of the minutes in goal for Concordia, sporting a 0.77 goals against average and a .783 save percentage.

Just Another Match-Winning Tally: Jada Foster scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season on Saturday afternoon against Indiana Tech.  Of her six goals, four have resulted in match-winners, including the one against the Warriors.  Foster has accounted for 60% of the Gray Wolves' scoring on the year, and all but one of the match-winning tallies.

Grindle Tallies First Goal: Jessica Grindle became just the fourth Gray Wolf in program history to score a goal, tallying her first marker at Lourdes with 2:34 remaining against Indiana Tech.  Grindle previously had registered an assist and now has three points on the year.

Lots of Different Combinations: Fourteen of the 17 players that have seen the field for Lourdes this season have earned at least three starting assignments.  Only six players have drawn a start in all 11 contests, and only 11 players have appeared in every match.

Pencil Her in Goal: Erika Brinkman has played every minute between the posts for the Gray Wolves this season.  She sports a 1.31 goals against average, an .808 save percentage, and has notched five shutouts during her 1033:39 as the Gray Wolves' goalkeeper.

Lots of Shutouts: Lourdes has played a total of 11 matches thus far this season, and nine of them have resulted in a shutout for one team or the other.  Only Lourdes' victory at Purdue Calumet (3-1) and loss at Saint Francis (Ind.) in overtime (2-1) have seen both teams find the back of the net.  The Gray Wolves have also played one scoreless draw, the program opener at Rochester (Mich.).

Foster Among League's Leading Scorers: Jada Foster has tallied a team-leading six goals during her freshman campaign.  The rookie is tied for sixth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference in total goals.

Among the Nation's Leaders: As a team, Lourdes ranks 32nd in the country with five shutouts.  Jada Foster's fourth match-winning goals are 12th most in NAIA.  Erika Brinkman ranks 48th in the nation with 63 total saves.

Captains Named: Senior Erika Brinkman and junior Remy Houttekier will serve as the team's inaugural captains during the 2015 season.

This and That: A total of 14 different players have fired off at least one shot this season ... the Gray Wolves have outshot the opposition 76-64 in the first half, but been outshot 80-62 in the final 45 minutes ... Lourdes has been booked for just two yellow cards in 2015 ... the Gray Wolves will not return home until Oct. 24, when they begin the final three-match homestand of the year.
