Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: The 2015 regular season comes to a close this week with Lourdes battling to earn the right to host a WHAC quarterfinal match next week. The Gray Wolves entertain Aquinas on Wednesday before facing Siena Heights on Saturday, two schools that are currently above the Gray Wolves in the league ledger.

Head Coach Jackie Donovan: In her first season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Donovan has a 8-6-1 (.567) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: As has been a common theme for the Gray Wolves this season, Lourdes has never faced Aquinas or Siena Heights in women's soccer.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Four different players scored on Wednesday afternoon as Lourdes overcame an early deficit to defeat Lawrence Tech 4-1 on the road. Kendyl Christian tied the match at one before Remy Houttekier scored what would become the match-winner before halftime. Nichole Miller and Jada Foster added insurance tallies in the second half as Lourdes earned the win. Erika Brinkman made four saves in goal for the Gray Wolves. Saturday's scheduled match against Marygrove was forfeited by the Mustangs.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints have won six straight matches following a 1-0 triumph at Madonna on Saturday. Mariah Otolski leads Aquinas scoring 10 goals and 22 total points while Anya Pallas has added five goals. Jessica Parry has a team-best six assists and ranks second on the team with 12 points. In goal, Lindsay Armstrong sports a 0.98 goals against average and an .822 save percentage for the Saints.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints have won four of their last five matches overall after posting a 1-0 victory in double overtime at Davenport on Saturday. Siena Heights hosts Madonna on Tuesday before traveling to Lourdes this week. Taylor Mulder leads the team in scoring, having tallied 15 goals and 36 points on the year. Danielle Eastman has handed out a team-best nine assists and has 21 points while Samantha Bartelotti and Emily Loar join Eastman with six goals each. Between the posts, Meghan Bogg and Taylor Hill have split time. Bogg sports a 0.12 goals against average and a .968 save percentage while Hill has a 1.13 GAA and a .707 save percentage.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor its first two seniors, Erika Brinkman and Elizabeth Theaker prior to Saturday's match with Siena Heights. Brinkman enters the week having played every minute in goal this season while Theaker has battled through injuries to appear in 11 contests on defense.

Postseason Berth Clinched: Lourdes has solidified its berth in next week's WHAC tournament following the three points awarded for the forfeit by Marygrove. The Gray Wolves enter the final week tied for fifth with Madonna in the league standings, with the top four teams earning home matches in next Wednesday's quarterfinal round. Lourdes can finish no worse than in seventh place, but could place as high as second in the league with two victories depending upon other league outcomes.

Another Ranked Foe: Lourdes will host a ranked opponent for the first time in program history on Saturday when Siena Heights visits Wildcat Stadium. The Saints enter the week ranked 16th in NAIA prior to this week's poll being released on Tuesday afternoon. The Gray Wolves have played just one top-25 program thus far in school history, falling on the road to #2 Northwestern Ohio 2-0 on Oct. 14.

Highest Scoring Output: Lourdes set a new school mark for goals in a match last Wednesday afternoon, tallying four at Lawrence Tech. The Gray Wolves had previously only scored multiple goals in a contest three times (Purdue Calumet 3, Cleary 2, Indiana Tech 2).

First Collegiate Goal: Nichole Miller scored for the first time in her collegiate career last Wednesday at Lawrence Tech. The rookie now has four points on the year, having already handed out a pair of assists, second most on the team.

Pencil Her in Goal: Erika Brinkman has played every minute between the posts for the Gray Wolves this season. She sports a 1.24 goals against average, an .825 save percentage, and has notched six shutouts during her 1303:39 as the Gray Wolves' goalkeeper.

Among the Nation's Leaders: As a team, Lourdes ranks 46th in the country with six shutouts. Jada Foster's four match-winning goals are 25th most in NAIA.

Captains Named: Senior Erika Brinkman and junior Remy Houttekier will serve as the team's inaugural captains during the 2015 season.

This and That: Jada Foster leads Lourdes with seven goals and 14 points while Remy Houttekier has a team-leading three assists ... Foster also leads the team with 40 shot attempts ... the Gray Wolves have not lost a match when leading at halftime (4-0) ... after earning credit for the forfeit victory, Lourdes now has its longest winning streak of the season at three matches.
