Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, 17th-ranked Lourdes looks to remain undefeated with three key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matches.  The Gray Wolves head to Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday evening before facing both Cornerstone and Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his sixth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 107-85 (.557) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has an 127-120 (.514) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 7-2 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn in a series that dates back to Aug. 28, 2010.  The Gray Wolves won this year's previous meeting in straight sets at Tam-o-Shanter on Sept. 23.  Lourdes holds a 3-2 series edge in matches played in Dearborn, Mich.  Lourdes is 3-4 all-time against Cornerstone dating back to Oct. 8, 2011.  The Gray Wolves have won two straight meetings after a three-set win on Sept. 26 at Owens CC.  Lourdes is 1-8 against Northwestern Ohio dating back to Oct. 2, 2010 after earning a three set win on Sept. 25 at Owens CC for the first win ever against the Racers.

Earlier This Season: The Gray Wolves needed just 56 minutes to score a 25-14, 25-19, 25-14 win over Michigan-Dearborn on Sept. 23.  Stef Comte hit .889 with eight kills while Ave Stout and Stephanie Ruffing each added eight kills as well.  On Sept. 26, Lourdes downed Cornerstone 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 behind 17 kills from Molly Shonk and 28 digs from Michi Jimenez.  Lourdes swept Northwestern Ohio 25-15, 25-9, 25-10 on Sept. 25 as Ruffing hit .588 with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes hit .471 as a team on Wednesday evening and defeated Concordia (Mich.) 25-7, 25-8, 25-17 at Tam-o-Shanter.  Stephanie Ruffing tallied 17 kills and hit .538 to lead the way while Ave Stout and Molly Shonk each added 10 kills. Friday night Lourdes closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20 triumph on the road at Bethel (Ind.).  Ruffing had 16 kills while Stout added 15 kills and hit .481.  Meghan Birr handed out 54 assists.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines have dropped seven straight matches after falling in straight sets at Lawrence Tech last Wednesday.  Shayla Smalls leads Michigan-Dearborn with 248 kills and is hitting .208 while Brittany Bejma has handed out 637 assists.  Megan Wright has tallied a team-high 307 digs while Katherine Nealy has posted 71 blocks.  

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles have won four straight matches after defeating Rochester (Mich.) and Point Park last Saturday.  Cornerstone hosts Davenport on Wednesday before facing Lourdes.  Chelsea Lake is hitting .302 with 330 kills while also leading the team with 385 digs.  Hope Leppink has handed out 987 assists while Johanna Egerer has blocked 101 balls.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have won three straight matches after defeating Point Park and Rochester (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon.  Nora Ra'atiga leads Northwestern Ohio with 279 kills while Katie Elson has handed out 671 assists.  Cierra Anderson leads the team with 381 digs while Calley Hawkins has a team-best 92 blocks.

Wins Record: Lourdes has set the school's single season wins record with their 22nd triumph of the year at Bethel (Ind.).  The Gray Wolves surpassed the mark of 21 victories set by the 2010 and 2013 squads.

Poll Update: Lourdes entered the top-25 poll for the first time ever on Oct. 6, checking in 20th in the national ranking.  On Oct. 13 the Gray Wolves moved into a tie for 19th and last week Lourdes has moved up to 17th in the national poll, the highest ever for the Gray Wolf program.  This week Lourdes dropped one spot to 18th.

And Then There Was One: Lourdes enters the week as the lone undefeated in NAIA women's volleyball.  In fact, Mount Vernon Nazarene (26-1) is the only other program with less than two losses this season.

Offense Nation's Best: Lourdes leads all of NAIA hitting .301 as a team.  The Gray Wolves also lead the country in assists at 13.38 per set as well as 14.37 kills per set.  In addition, Lourdes is seventh in aces per set with 2.25.  Individually, Meghan Birr is fourth tallying 11.53 assists per set while Lexie Curtis ranks 20th in NAIA in aces per set with 0.54.  Stephanie Ruffing ranks among the top-30 in hitting percentage (.336, 23rd) and kills per set (3.70, 29th) while Michi Jimenez is 35th in the county averaging 4.96 digs per set.

Record Watch: Ave Stout's .396 hitting percentage this season is on pace to break Mallory Lenhart's 2014 mark of .360 (minimum 100 attempts).  With her 54 assists at Bethel (Ind.) on Friday, Meghan Birr set the school's single season assist mark with 874, passing Allegra Recknagel's 2013 mark of 830.

This and That: Lourdes has outdug all 22 opponents thus far this year ...  Molly Shonk has recorded five straight double-doubles and leads the team with 12 on the year ... Lourdes hit .471 as a team against Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday, the fifth time this year the Gray Wolves hit higher than .400 ... Lourdes has hit below .200 just once all season (Indiana Tech, Sept. 30, .192).
