Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Postseason soccer begins for Lourdes University on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves head to Adrian, Mich. to compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament for the first time in program history. The seventh-seeded Gray Wolves will face second-seeded, and 15th-ranked Siena Heights in a rematch of the regular season finale.
Head Coach Jackie Donovan: In her first season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Donovan has a 8-8-1 (.500) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Siena Heights won the only previous match between the two schools, a 3-0 decision in the regular season finale on Oct. 31, 2015 at Wildcat Stadium. This is the first trip ever for Lourdes to Adrian, Mich., and also the first postseason meeting ever between the two schools.
Earlier This Season: Siena Heights won the regular season finale between the two schools 3-0 on Oct. 31 at Wildcat Stadium. Taylor Mulder put the Saints on top in the fifth minute and Emily Loar added a pair of tallies, one 1:30 before halftime and the other with just under 13 minutes remaining in the match.Â
Erika Brinkman made four saves for Lourdes while Meghan Bogg made one stop in the shutout victory for the Saints. Siena Heights held a 12-2 advantage in shots in the match.
Wrapping Up Last Week: After playing a scoreless first half, Aquinas tallied three goals in the match's final 27 minutes to defeat the Gray Wolves 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.Â
Erika Brinkman made seven saves in goal for Lourdes. Saturday, in the regular season finale, 15th-ranked Siena Heights scored less than five minutes into the match on the way to a 3-0 victory over the Gray Wolves at Wildcat Stadium. Brinkman made four saves in the setback.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the postseason having won six of their last seven regular season matches following wins over Madonna and Lourdes last weekend. Taylor Mulder leads Siena Heights with 39 total points, having tallied a team-high 16 goals while adding seven assists. Danielle Eastman leads the Saints with nine assists and is second with 25 points after finding the back of the net eight times. In goal, Meghan Bogg sports a 0.20 goals against average and a .943 save percentage. Â
Looking to Finish .500: Lourdes needs a victory over Siena Heights in the WHAC quarterfinals to assure the Gray Wolves of finishing .500 or better in their inaugural season. The Gray Wolves would also finish .500 with a draw on Wednesday if they did not advance on penalty kicks.
WHAC Honors: Jada Foster garnered Honorable Mention All-WHAC accolades during her rookie season with the Gray Wolves. She scored a team-high seven goals, including four match-winners.Â
Remy Houttekier was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team for displaying the five core values of NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership
Halftime Lead is Key: Lourdes has not surrendered a halftime lead this season, posting a 4-0 record when holding the advantage after 45 minutes. However, when the Gray Wolves trail at the break, they have yet to rally for a win, posting an 0-5 mark. Lourdes is 3-3-1 when tied at intermission.
Looking for First Win over Ranked Foe: Lourdes will play their third match in program history against a NAIA top-25 opponent on Wednesday. The Gray Wolves fell 2-0 on Oct. 14 at second-ranked Northwestern Ohio and 3-0 on Oct. 31 against 15th-ranked Siena Heights.
Scoring Race: Jada Foster has accounted for nearly half of Lourdes' 15 goals this season. The freshman has found the back of the net seven times, and leads the team with 14 total points.Â
Kendyl Christian has added three goals and is tied for second with seven points with
Remy Houttekier, who has handed out a team-high three assists. Â

Solid in Goal: Erika Brinkman has played every minute between the posts for the Gray Wolves this season. She sports a 1.46 goals against average, an .800 save percentage, and has notched six shutouts during her 1483:39 as the Gray Wolves' goalkeeper.
Mixing Up Lineups: Only eight Gray Wolves have appeared in all 16 matches this season.Â
