Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: After posting three more victories last week to remain unbeaten, Lourdes has a lighter week ahead. The Gray Wolves play just once, traveling to Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday night in search of their 10th straight win.
Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his sixth season on the Lourdes bench,
Greg Reitz has a 94-85 (.525) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has an 114-120 (.487) career mark. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 7-1 all-time against Concordia (Mich.) in a series that dates back to Aug. 20, 2010. The Gray Wolves have won five straight meetings between the two schools, all decided in four sets, including a pair last season. Lourdes holds a 3-1 series edge in Ann Arbor, Mich., with the Cardinals' lone series win coming on Oct. 28, 2011, a five-set decision at Cardinal Fieldhouse.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes tallied three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference victories last week. The Gray Wolves swept Lawrence Tech on the road Wednesday evening behind .425 hitting as a team.Â

Stephanie Ruffing led the way with 10 kills each. On Friday night, the Gray Wolves registered a four-set victory at home against Siena Heights.Â
Stephanie Richards tallied 14 kills and 20 digs in the win. The Gray Wolves concluded the perfect week on Saturday with a five-set triumph at Aquinas. Ruffing registered 24 kills and 16 digs.
Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals dropped back-to-back matches last weekend on the road at Davenport and Madonna. Autumn VanKirk leads Concordia with 168 kills and is hitting .306 while also recorded a team-leading 72 blocks. Claire Truskowski has handed out 344 assists, most on the team, while Julia Szuba has recorded 232 digs.
Best Start Ever: Lourdes 9-0 record is its best start to a season in program history. The Gray Wolves previous best mark through nine matches was 6-3, accomplished in 2013. In addition, the nine-match winning streak has shattered the previous longest in program history. Lourdes won six matches in a row from Nov. 2-16, 2013.
One of the Remaining Unbeatens: Lourdes enters the week one of just eight undefeated teams remaining in NAIA. In the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, Madonna is the only team that is 4-0 in league play and the Gray Wolves and Crusaders will meet at Tam-o-Shanter for the first time on Oct. 3.
Earning WHAC Honors: Lourdes swept all three WHAC Player of the Week awards last week.Â
Stephanie Ruffing was named the Attacker of the Week after hitting .324 while averaging 4.08 kills per set.Â
Michi Jimenez was named Defender of the Week after tallying 5.17 digs per set and
Meghan Birr was selected as Setter of the Week after handing out 12.08 assists per set as the Gray Wolves hit .313 as a team.
Record-Setting Efforts: Stephanie Ruffing tied
Stephanie Richards' single match kills record after tallying 24 on Saturday at Aquinas. In the same match,
Meghan Birr shattered the school's single match assist record, handing out 72 helpers. As a team, Lourdes set school mark with 80 kills and 78 assists against Aquinas.
Offense is Clicking: Lourdes ranks second in all of NAIA hitting .300 as a team. The Gray Wolves rank ninth in kills per set (13.91) as well as assists per set (12.67) and are 12th in the nation in service aces per set (2.48). Lourdes has five players averaging two kills per set or higher this season. In addition, four players are hitting better than .300 with at least 50 attempts on the year. Â
Winning the Service Battle: Lourdes has now recorded 82 service aces on the season. The Gray Wolves have surrendered just 33 total aces defensively all year long. In fact,
Lexie Curtis' 25 aces are three more than the Lourdes opposition has registered. Curtis ranks ninth in the country in aces per set (0.93) and is 22nd in total aces.
Record Book Watching: Michi Jimenez already holds the school's career digs record with 1,710, 987 more than any other player in a Gray Wolf uniform. She also holds the school mark for sets played (384), and is tied for the record in matches played with 106, matching Ali Mass' total from 2010-2013.
Richards Sets Kills Record: Stephanie Richards became Lourdes career kills leader earlier this season. She now has 753 for her career, 43 more than any other Gray Wolf in program history. Â
More Record Book Info: Stef Comte holds the school's career blocks record with 186.Â
Lexie Curtis ranks third with 962 career assists, trailing second place Allegra Recknagel (2012-2013) by 327 helpers. Curtis also broke Hannah Thompson's (2010-2011) for the all-time service aces record last week and now has 87 career aces.
This and That: Meghan Birr is 11th in NAIA in assists per set (10.64) ...
