Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes gets ready for a busy week as the Gray Wolves play three matches this week looking to remain unbeaten.  Michigan-Dearborn visits Tam-o-Shanter on Wednesday before the Gray Wolves host Northwestern Ohio and Cornerstone at Owens CC on Friday and Saturday.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his sixth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 95-85 (.528) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has an 115-120 (.489) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 6-2 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn in a series that dates back to Aug. 28, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won five straight meetings between the two schools, including a pair last season.  Lourdes holds a 3-0 series edge in matches played at Tam-o-Shanter.  Lourdes is 0-8 all-time against Northwestern Ohio dating back to Oct. 2, 2010.  Last season the Racers won all three meetings against the Gray Wolves, including a 3-0 victory in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals.  Lourdes is 2-4 all-time versus Cornerstone in a series that began Oct. 8, 2011.  Last year the Gray Wolves and Golden Eagles split their two meetings, with each school posting a three set sweep at home.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes won its 10th straight match to open the season with a 25-8, 25-17, 25-18 triumph at Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday night.  Stephanie Ruffing tallied 13 kills while Michi Jimenez registered 18 digs and the Gray Wolves hit .396 as a team in the victory.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines snapped a three-match losing skid on Saturday with a straight sets win over Rochester (Mich.).  Shayla Smalls leads the team with 144 kills and is hitting .241 while Brittany Bejma has handed out 425 assists and leads the team with 20 aces.  Megan Wright is the team's digs leader with 191 while Katherine Nealy has tallied 52 blocks.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have dropped back-to-back contests after falling in four sets to Indiana Tech and travel to Aquinas on Wednesday before facing Lourdes.  Nora Fa'atiga leads Northwestern Ohio with 129 kills while Katie Elson has recorded 24 aces.  Cierra Anderson leads in digs with 187 while Calley Hawkins has registered 43 blocks.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles had their seven-match win streak snapped on Saturday with a four-set loss to #12 Columbia (Mo.).  Cornerstone heads to Davenport and Indiana Tech before battling Lourdes on Saturday.  Chelsea Lakes the Golden Eagles with 158 kills and is hitting .293 while Hope Leppink has handed out 461 assists.  Amber Carmean leads the team in aces (22) and digs (196) while Ellie Van Laar has registered a team-high 50 blocks.

Best Start Ever: Lourdes 10-0 record is its best start to a season in program history.  The Gray Wolves previous best mark through 10 matches was 7-3, accomplished in 2013.  In addition, the 10-match winning streak has shattered the previous longest in program history.  Lourdes won six matches in a row from Nov. 2-16, 2013.

One of the Remaining Unbeatens: Lourdes enters the week one of just seven undefeated teams remaining in NAIA.  In the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, Madonna is the only other team that is 5-0 in league play and the Gray Wolves and Crusaders will meet at Tam-o-Shanter for the first time on Oct. 3.

Offense is Clicking: Lourdes ranks second in all of NAIA hitting .308 as a team, trailing just Biola's .311 mark.  The Gray Wolves rank seventh in kills per set (14.00) as well as sixth in assists per set (12.83) and are 14th in the nation in service aces per set (2.39).  Stephanie Ruffing ranks 38th individually with both 3.56 kills per set as well as a .313 hitting percentage.

Winning the Service Battle: Lourdes has now recorded 86 service aces on the season.  In fact, Lexie Curtis' 25 aces match the entire total of the Lourdes opposition has registered.  Curtis ranks seventh in the country in aces per set (0.83).

Record Book Watching: Michi Jimenez already holds the school's career digs record with 1,728, more than 1,000 more than any other player in a Gray Wolf uniform.  She also holds the school mark for sets played (387), and just broke the record for matches played with 107, passing Ali Mass'  total of 106 from 2010-2013.

Richards Sets Kills Record: Stephanie Richards became Lourdes career kills leader earlier this season.  She now has 762 for her career, 52 more than any other Gray Wolf in program history.

More Record Book Info: Stef Comte holds the school's career blocks record with 190.  Lexie Curtis ranks third with 965 career assists, trailing second place Allegra Recknagel (2012-2013) by 324 helpers.  Curtis also broke Hannah Thompson's (2010-2011) for the all-time service aces record and now has 87 career aces.

This and That: Meghan Birr is 11th in NAIA in assists per set (10.78) ... Michi Jimenez is 41st nationally in digs per set (4.78) ... the Gray Wolves have hit over .400 in a match twice this season and just hit .396 against Concordia (Mich.) the eight points scored by the Cardinals in set one on Wednesday were the second fewest allowed in a set by Lourdes this year... Lourdes has hit below .140 in just one set this year.
