Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes reaches the midway point of the regular season on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves travel to Indiana Tech looking to remain unbeaten.  The Gray Wolves head to Davenport on Friday night before hosting nationally-ranked Madonna at Tam-o-Shanter to conclude the first round of WHAC play.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his sixth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 98-85 (.536) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his sixth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has an 118-120 (.496) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 2-5 all-time against Indiana Tech in a series that dates back to Oct. 1, 2010.  Last season the two schools split a pair of four-set matches, with each winning on the other's home floor.  Lourdes is 1-3 against the Warriors in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Lourdes is 1-8 all-time against Davenport dating back to Sept. 2, 2011.  Last season the Panthers won a four-set match at Tam-o-Shanter and swept the Gray Wolves in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Davenport is 3-0 all-time in the series in Grand Rapids.  Lourdes is 1-6 all-time versus Madonna in a series that began Oct. 8, 2010.  Last year the Gray Wolves downed the Crusaders in five sets in Livonia, Mich. before falling in five sets in Adrian, Mich. in a neutral site match.  Madonna won the only previous meeting at Tam-o-Shanter, in straight sets in 2012.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes opened the week with a three set victory over Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday afternoon behind Stef Comte's .889 hitting percentage and eight kills.  The Gray Wolves hit .481 as a team led by Stephanie Ruffing's 11 kills and 10 digs on Friday in a straight sets win over Northwestern Ohio.  Lourdes concluded the week on Saturday with a 3-0 triumph against Cornerstone.  Molly Shonk had a team-leading 17 kills while Michi Jimenez tallied 28 digs in the three-set match.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors enter the week having won five straight matches after defeating Davenport in five sets at home on Saturday.  Cassie Sarabia leads Indiana Tech with 197 kills while Karli Jones has handed out 354 assists.  Taylor Kelso has a team-high 343 digs while Gabby Staggs has tallied 76 blocks.  Katelyn St. Martin leads the team service game, having registered 18 aces.

Scouting Davenport: The Panthers have dropped four of their last five matches after falling in five sets at Indiana Tech on Saturday.  Davenport hosts Madonna on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Molly Larmeyer leads the Panthers with 221 kills and is hitting .326 while Sami White has handed out 624 assists.  Morgan Torres has registered 236 digs and a team-high 26 aces while Sarah Wendling paces the defense with 80 blocks.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have won nine straight matches after sweeping Marygrove on Saturday.  Madonna travels to Davenport and hosts Indiana Tech before visiting Lourdes.  Nicole Oestrike leads Madonna with 191 kills and 26 aces while Spencer Stokes has handed out 701 assists.  Breanna Geile has recorded 282 digs while Emily Johnson has tallied a team-high 57 blocks.

Birr Earns Second WHAC Honor: Meghan Birr was named the WHAC Setter of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Gray Wolves to a 3-0 record over the past week.  The junior averaged 12.33 assists per set and 1.78 digs per set.  Birr helped the Gray Wolves attack post a .321 hitting percentage as well.

Nearing 100: Lourdes is just two wins shy of 100 in the history of the program.  Head coach Greg Reitz has been on the Gray Wolves' bench for all 98 of the previous victories.

Best Start Ever: Lourdes 13-0 record is its best start to a season in program history.  The Gray Wolves previous best mark through 10 matches was 8-2, accomplished in 2013.  In addition, the 13-match winning streak has more than doubled the previous longest streak in program history.  Lourdes won six matches in a row from Nov. 2-16, 2013.

One of the Remaining Unbeatens: Lourdes enters the week one of just seven undefeated teams remaining in NAIA.  In the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, the Gray Wolves are tied for the top spot with Madonna, with both 8-0 schools meeting on Saturday.  The two schools hold a two-game lead in the standings over third place.

Offense Nation's Best: Lourdes leads all of NAIA hitting .310 as a team this season and also leads the country averaging 14.16 kills per set.  The Gray Wolves are fourth in assists at 13.02 per set while ranking 13th in aces per set with 2.40.  Lexie Curtis is fourth individually tallying 0.82 aces per set while Meghan Birr is seventh in NAIA in assists per set with 11.09.  Stephanie Ruffing also is among the top-50 in kills per set (3.58, 35th) and hitting percentage (.310, 44th).

This and That: Lourdes has outdug all 13 opponents thus far this year ... Lexie Curtis is six aces shy of 100 for her career ... Stef Comte has exactly 200 career blocks ... the Gray Wolves have five hitters with at least 180 attempts hitting .295 or better on the year ... Lourdes has tallied 108 aces this season while opponents have aced the Gray Wolves just 30 times.
