Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes looks to snap a three-match losing skid as the Gray Wolves return home for a pair of contests during Homecoming weekend.  The Gray Wolves host Madonna on Wednesday afternoon before entertaining Marygrove on Saturday in what will also be the team's Senior Day contest.

Head Coach Jackie Donovan: In her second season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Donovan has an 10-15-2 (.407) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Madonna leads the all-time series against Lourdes 1-0 after notching a 3-0 victory Sept. 30, 2015 at Wildcat Stadium. The Crusaders scored twice in the first 18 minutes and added an insurance tally with less than 10 minutes remaining in the contest.  Lourdes leads the all-time series with Marygrove 1-0 after earning a forfeit victory over the Mustangs last season.  Saturday will mark the first time the two schools have actually met on the field.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Goals by Clare Ciarlino and Kendyl Christian gave Lourdes a 2-1 lead on Wednesday against Aquinas, but Anya Pallas tied the contest with just over 10 minutes to play and her second goal of the match 4:49 into overtime gave the Saints a 3-2 victory over the Gray Wolves.  On Saturday, Indiana Tech scored a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes to defeat Lourdes 2-0 in a match shortened to 70 minutes due to severe weather.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders snapped a four-match winless streak on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory on the road at Cornerstone.  Kelly Capoccia leads Madonna in scoring with seven goals and two assists for 16 total points while Nicolette Vultaggio has added eight points on three goals and two assists.  Julia Henning has recorded a team-leading three helpers.  In goal, Julia Stewart has played all 850 minutes for the Crusaders, and sports a 1.16 goals against average and a .796 save percentage.

Scouting Marygrove: The Mustangs have dropped four straight matches after suffering a 5-0 setback at Aquinas on Saturday afternoon.  Marygrove hosts Davenport on Wednesday before heading to Lourdes.  Whitney Cole leads the Mustangs with four goals and eight total points while Bianca Barron has added two goals and four points.  Melyssa Olmstead has played a majority of the minutes in goal, sporting a 4.36 goals against average and a carries a .735 save percentage.

Thank You Seniors: Lourdes will honor five seniors before the match with Marygrove on Saturday afternoon.  Lexie Cano, Kendyl Christian, Abby Groll, Kayla Lehmann, and Hayley Wagner will participate in Senior Day prior to their second to last regular season home match.

Ciarlino Adds to Scoring Lead, Climbs Record Book: Freshman Clare Ciarlino added to her team lead in scoring with her tally last week against Aquinas.  Ciarlino tallied her sixth goal of the season against the Saints, moving her within one of Jada Foster's single season school mark of seven.  In addition, she now has 14 points, matching Foster's school record set in 2015.

Christian Nets First of the Year: After scoring three times and tallying seven total points as a junior, Kendyl Christian scored her first goal and notched her first points of the year to put the Gray Wolves in front of Aquinas 2-1.

Koontz Matches Single Season Assist Mark: Tori Koontz registered her third assist of the season last Wednesday versus Aquinas, matching Remy Houttekier's single season mark for helpers in a season set in 2015.  She had assists in back-to-back matches after also tallying a helper against Davenport.

Multiple Delays: Lourdes match at Indiana Tech on Saturday was delayed numerous times.  The start of the contest was delayed 50 minutes due to transportation issues and then the match was halted twice in the second half for severe weather.  When the third interruption occurred after 70 minutes, the match was declared an official contest and ended early.

Scoring Goals in Bunches: Last season Lourdes managed to score two or more goals as a team in a match just four times.  Already this year Lourdes has tallied two or more goals in five of the team's nine contests after finding the back of the net twice last Wednesday against Aquinas.

Mixing Up the Lineup: Lourdes has had 17 different players draw at least one starting assignment already this season.  In fact, only Kiley Transit, Halee Roberts, Tori Koontz, and Karlie O'Keefe have been on the pitch to begin all seven matches.  In addition, only a total of nine players have stepped onto the field in all seven contests.

Captains Named: Remy Houttekier, Tara Blundell, Kendyl Christian, and Hayley Wagner are serving as the team's captains for the 2016 season.  Houttekier is in her second season serving in the leadership role while Blundell, Christian, and Wagner are in year one.

This and That: Lourdes has never won an overtime contest in program history, going 0-4-2 when playing more than 90 minutes ... the Gray Wolves have yet to rally to win or earn a draw in a match in which they have not scored first ... Lourdes is .500 (2-2-1) at home this season but has yet to win away from Wildcat Stadium.
