Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: A four-match homestand to close out the regular season begins this week as the Gray Wolves play a pair of matches at Wildcat Stadium.  Lourdes entertains Cornerstone on Tuesday before hosting Lawrence Tech in a Friday matinee as both matches have key postseason tournament implications to them.

Head Coach Jackie Donovan: In her third season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Donovan has a 16-27-4 (.383) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Cornerstone is 2-0 all-time against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 7, 2015.  Both prior meetings, including the most recent Oct. 18, 2016 have taken place in Grand Rapids, Mich., with the Golden Eagles posting 3-0 victories.  Tuesday marks Cornerstone's first trip to Wildcat Stadium.  Lourdes and Lawrence Tech have split a pair of meetings in a series that began Oct. 21, 2015.  The Gray Wolves won the first meeting in Southfield, Mich. 4-1 before the Blue Devils posted a victory last season 3-0 on Oct. 22, 2016.  This is Lawrence Tech's first visit to Lourdes.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Siena Heights on goals by Remy Houttekier and Clare Ciarlino on Wednesday, but the Saints battled back to earn a 2-2 draw.  Kiley Transit made 12 stops in the tie for Lourdes.  Saturday, Northwestern Ohio scored just 2:24 into the match on the way to a 6-0 victory over the Gray Wolves.  The Racers outshot Lourdes 27-3 for the match, with Transit making 16 stops in goal.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles are winless over their last four matches (0-3-1) after falling 4-0 at Siena Heights on Saturday afternoon.  Hannah Sell and Erica Mick leads Cornerstone with three goals each on the season along with a team-high seven points.  Savannah Petty has handed out three assists, most on the team.  In goal, Mikayla Johnson has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 1.31 goals against average and a .795 save percentage.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils enter the week having won two of their last three matches after defeating Michigan-Dearborn 3-0 on Friday.  Lawrence Tech hosts Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday before heading to Lourdes.  Tia Lamie leads Lawrence Tech offensively, having scored five goals and adding five assists for 13 points.  Lauren Wasiak has scored three times while Allexus Barnes also has three assists.  In goal, Megan Dixon has played a majority of the minutes, posting a 1.79 goals against average and a .755 save percentage.

Show Cancer the Red Card: Lourdes is looking to support the Victory Center, a local organization in Toledo, on Friday by "Showing Cancer the Red Card".  The Gray Wolves will be accepting donations at the match against Lawrence Tech.  The women's soccer program has already raised over $1,000 through T-shirt sales, bake sales, and local donations.

Down the Stretch in WHAC Play: Entering play this week, Lourdes is currently two points out of the eighth and final spot to earn a berth in the WHAC postseason tournament. However, the Gray Wolves are only three points out of sixth place, and face both Cornerstone and Lawrence Tech, the two teams tied for sixth, this week.  Each victory is worth three points in the standings while ties are worth one point.

Transit Sets Single Match Saves Mark: Kiley Transit was busy in goal last week for the Gray Wolves.  The redshirt-sophomore made 16 saves on Saturday at Northwestern Ohio to tie the school record for saves in a match.  She previously set the mark herself on Oct. 15, 2016, also against Northwestern Ohio.  Transit made 12 stops last Wednesday against Siena Heights, tied for the fifth most ever by a Gray Wolf in a single match.

Team Scoring Marks: Lourdes has either set, tied, or is nearing each of the three scoring records as a team for a single season this year.  The Gray Wolves have broken the single season record with 18 assists this season, surpassing last year's mark of 12.  In addition, Lourdes has tied the 2016 team for points in a year with 60.  Finally, the Gray Wolves are just three goals shy of matching last year's record-setting campaign of 24, entering play this week having found the back of the net 21 times this season.

Individual Scoring Marks: Clare Ciarlino added to her school record with her 10th career goal on Wednesday against Siena Heights.  The sophomore also increased her all-time record for points to 28 while wearing the terra cotta and black.  Remy Houttekier also found the back of the net on Wednesday against the Saints, scoring on a penalty kick, for her team-leading sixth goal of the season.  Houttekier is one goal shy of Jada Foster's 2015 record of seven goals in a season.  Houttekier is also one point shy of the single season mark, entering the week with 15, one behind Ciarlino's record of 16 set in 2016.

Captains: Remy Houttekier, Tara Blundell, and Kiley Transit will serve as the team's captains during the 2017 season.  Houttekier is in her third season serving in the leadership role while Blundell is a team captain for the second time.  Transit is a first time team captain.

This and That: Tori Koontz added to her single season school record with her sixth assists of the year against Siena Heights, while also setting a new career mark with nine assists ... Helena Rammal has appeared in a school-record 43 career matches while Alyssa Swanson has played in 42 contests in her career ... Lourdes is 0-5-4 all-time in overtime contests ... the four-match homestand to close the year matches one from Sept. 9-20 of this season for the longest in program history.
