Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes heads into the final third of the regular season with three matches on the slate this week.  Lourdes travels to Rochester (Mich.) on Wednesday to face the league's newest member before hosting Northwestern Ohio on Friday.  The Gray Wolves step out of WHAC play for the final time this season on Saturday, traveling to Marian.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his eighth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 158-100 (.612) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his ninth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 178-135 (.569) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.

Series Notes:  Lourdes is 3-1 all-time against Rochester (Mich.) in a series that dates back to Aug. 21, 2010.  The Gray Wolves have won the last three meetings between the two schools, but they have not met since Aug. 17, 2012 when Lourdes posted a 3-0 victory in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Northwestern Ohio has an 8-4 all-time edge against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 2, 2010, but the Gray Wolves have won the last four meetings.  Last season Lourdes swept UNOH in Lima, Ohio.  This will be the Racers first visit to the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes and Marian are meeting on the volleyball court for the first time ever on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes had four players with eight or more kills on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves defeated Aquinas in four sets, 25-17, 25-13, 15-25, 25-15.  Kristin Murrell led the way with 11 kills and 16 digs while Angelica Dippold tallied 35 digs.  The Gray Wolves cruised to a straight sets win, 25-9, 25-14, 25-10, at Calumet on Friday evening, hitting .371 as a team.  Lourdes limited the Crimson Wave to just 11 kills in the entire match.  On Saturday, the Gray Wolves swept Huntington 28-26, 25-18, 25-22 on the road.  Murrell hit .351 with 17 kills and added 10 digs while Dippold tallied 20 digs.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors have won three of their last five  matches after sweeping Concordia (Mich.) at home on Friday evening.  Laura Willson leads the team with 181 kills and is hitting .238 while Megan Juncaj has handed out a team-high 245 assists.  Miranda Fowler has registered 22 service aces and Jenna Pomaville has tallied 206 digs.  Hannah Dadles leads Rochester with 37 blocks.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have dropped four of their last five matches entering the week after suffering a five-set loss to Siena Heights on Friday.  Stephanie Hanewold leads the team with 264 kills and is hitting .344 while adding 51 blocks defensively.  Kayleigh Hulst has handed out 717 assists and Jessica Rotta has tallied 39 service aces while Taina' Soranzo has recorded 331 digs.  Northwestern Ohio travels to Indiana Tech before heading to Lourdes.

Scouting Marian: The Knights enter the week having won three straight contests after sweeping Saint Mary's last Saturday.  Marian hosts Taylor on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Frannie Stephenson leads Marian with 205 kills while Julie Hoying has a team-high 409 assists.  Kacee Salyers has tallied 48 service aces and Vanessa Lay has registered 384 digs for the Knights.  Anne Strevels leads the team with 67 blocks.

Dippold Three-Peats: Angelica Dippold earned her third straight WHAC Defender of the Week honor, and fourth in the last five weeks, after helping the Gray Wolves to three victories last week.  She averaged 6.20 digs per set over the 10 sets she played, and moved into third place on the school's career dig list with 756.

Jumping in Front Leads to Success: All 13 of Lourdes' victories this season have come when the Gray Wolves won the opening set.  Lourdes is 13-1 in such situations this year, with the lone loss coming to Saint Xavier.  The Gray Wolves have yet to rally from a first set loss to come back and win a match.

More Double-Doubles: Kristin Murrell added to her team-leading double-double total last week, registering two more in the matches against Aquinas and Huntington.  The junior had 11 kills and 16 digs versus Aquinas before adding 17 kills and 10 digs at Huntington.  Murrell now has eight total double-doubles on the year.

Among the Nation's Leaders: Angelica Dippold ranks 11th among all NAIA players averaging 5.87 digs per set this season.  Emily Arnold has averaged 1.17 blocks per set on the year, and ranks 17th in the nation.  As a team, Lourdes is 28th in the NAIA recording 18.03 digs per set.

Home Sweet Home: Lourdes had its 30-match home court win streak snapped on Saturday against Saint Xavier, a string that dated back to the end of the 2013 season.  The loss to the Cougars was also the first ever inside of the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.  Lourdes is now 15-1 inside the facility.

This and That: Emily Arnold is the only Gray Wolf to appear in all 66 sets this season ... Arnold is hitting .314 in WHAC matches this year while adding 1.67 blocks per set ... Genessee Tate is 11 blocks shy of 100 for her career ... Lourdes heads into its non-conference finale at Marian on Saturday with a 9-4 record outside of the WHAC this season.
