Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes is in search of its third straight bid to the NAIA National Championships on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Madonna for a WHAC tournament semifinal match against the Crusaders.  Should Lourdes win on Friday, the Gray Wolves would face Cornerstone or Siena Heights in Saturday's championship contest.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his eighth season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 165-104 (.613) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his ninth season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 185-139 (.571) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.

Series Notes:  Madonna holds the all-time series advantage against Lourdes 7-5 dating back to Oct. 8, 2010.  The Crusaders snapped the Gray Wolves' four-match winning streak in the series on Oct. 21 of this season, posting a 3-1 victory in Livonia, Mich.  Madonna is 5-1 all-time against Lourdes in Livonia.  Cornerstone holds a 7-6 series edge over the Gray Wolves dating back to Oct. 8, 2011 after winning both regular season meetings this year.  The Golden Eagles swept Lourdes in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Sept. 20 before posting the same result on Oct. 25 at the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Cornerstone in neutral site matches.  Lourdes holds an 11-7 series edge over Siena Heights dating back to Sept. 10, 2010.  The two schools split their previous meetings this season, with the Saints winning in straight sets in Adrian, Mich. on Sept. 6 before the Gray Wolves posted a four-set victory at home on Oct. 11.  Lourdes is 2-0 against Siena Heights in neutral site contests.

Wrapping Up WHAC Quarterfinal: Lourdes fell behind Aquinas in every set on Wednesday evening before rallying to defeat the Saints 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 25-22 inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  Genessee Tate tallied a career-high 22 kills and hit .283 while Chelsea Lawrence added 12 kills.  Angelica Dippold registered a team-high 25 digs in the victory.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders enter the WHAC tournament having won five straight matches after sweeping Indiana Tech on Oct. 28, but have been idle for nearly two weeks.  Karlie Kelly leads Madonna with 430 kills while Amanda Hawkins is hitting .350.  Lauren Korth has handed out 1,276 assists and has a team-high 44 service aces.  Defensively, Alyssa Facione has tallied 495 digs while Hawkins has a team-high 132 blocks.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles enter the tournament having won 11 straight matches after defeating Concordia (Mich.) in straight sets on Nov. 1.  Kendra Zwart leads Cornerstone with 415 kills and is hitting .353 while Hope Leppink has handed out 1,292 assists.  Maria Ma has recorded 38 service aces while defensively Mackenzie Vallad has tallied 539 digs and Zwart has 148 blocks.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints snapped a two-match losing skid with a four-set victory over Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.  Christine Tylutki leads Siena Heights with 292 kills while Elizabeth Breton is hitting .280.  Amanda Metz has tallied 979 assists and 36 aces.  Defensively, Gabby Kalugar has recorded 620 digs while Breton has recorded 121 blocks.

Lourdes In the WHAC Tournament: Lourdes enters the WHAC semifinals 10-5 all-time since joining the conference prior to the 2011 season.  The Gray Wolves have won each of the last two WHAC tournaments in 2015 and 2016, dropping just one set in the process.  Lourdes also finished runner-up on 2013.

Playing for Automatic Bids: This year the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference changed the way it allocates its two automatic bids to the NAIA National Championships.  In the past, the regular season champion and the tournament champion earned the two bids, unless it was the same team, in which case the tournament runner-up got the second bid.  This season, the two tournament finalists will receive the automatic bids.

Dippold Ranks Second All-Time in Digs, Nearing 1,000 Digs: Angelica Dippold has moved into second place on Lourdes' career digs list with 947, passing Molly Shonk (2016-2017).  The sophomore is just 53 digs shy of 1,000 for her career, but trails the school record holder, Michi Jimenez (2012-2015) by 1,196 digs for the top spot.  Jimenez ended her four-year career with 2,143 career digs.

Tate Moves Into the Top-10: Genessee Tate has moved into the top-10 all-time at Lourdes with 463 career kills.  She is 46 kills shy of Angie Pagan-Perez, who ranks ninth.  Tate also ranks eighth all-time in attack percentage at .224 and is sixth with 106 career blocks.

Arnold Sets School Blocks Record: Emily Arnold has set the school's single season blocks record with 128 already in 2017, surpassing Ave Stout's 2016 mark of 106.  Arnold had previously set a school single-match record for blocks with nine rejections against Siena Heights back on Oct. 11.  In just one season, she ranks fourth on the Gray Wolves' career blocks list as well.

Moving Up the Single Season Charts: Emily Arnold currently ranks seventh on the single season attack percentage list, hitting .278.  Jami Markus' 674 assists are fifth as well while Angelica Dippold ranks fourth with 496 digs this year.  Cierra Martinez has cracked the top-10 with 68 blocks.

Among the Nation's Leaders: Emily Arnold is 13th among all NAIA players averaging 1.22 blocks per set and is also 17th with 128 total blocks on the year.  Angelica Dippold ranks 23rd nationally tallying 5.45 digs per set.  As a team, Lourdes is 17th in the country averaging 18.54 digs per set and 48th registering 11.82 assists per stanza.  In addition, the Gray Wolves rank 50th posting 2.00 blocks per set.

This and That: Emily Arnold is the only Gray Wolf to appear in all 105 sets this season ... Tylar Roberson had her ninth double-double of the year against Aquinas with 10 kills and 21 digs ... Kristin Murrell leads the Gray Wolves with 12 double-doubles ... Genessee Tate posted a career-high with 22 kills against Aquinas ... Lourdes is 20-2 on the season when winning the opening set and 0-8 when falling in set one ... the Gray Wolves have played just one five-set match all season (a loss to Saint Francis [Ill.] on Sept. 1).
