Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: The final road trip of the 2018 regular season is ahead for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves look to remain in the hunt for a WHAC tournament berth.  Lourdes travels to league-leader Madonna on Tuesday evening before battling Lawrence Tech in the road finale on Saturday.

Head Coach Jackie (Donovan) Phillips: In her fourth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 23-37-5 (.392) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Madonna holds a 4-0 series advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to the initial meeting at Wildcat Stadium on Sept. 30, 2015.  The Crusaders won a pair of meetings against Lourdes last season, both in Livonia, Mich., after posting a 5-0 victory in the regular season and a 3-0 triumph in the WHAC quarterfinals.  The Gray Wolves hold a 2-1 series advantage against Lawrence Tech dating back to Oct. 21, 2015.  Last year, Lourdes scored a 2-1 overtime victory at Wildcat Stadium.  The two teams have split the two previous  meetings in Southfield, Mich. 1-1.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes hung with 25th-ranked Northwestern Ohio throughout on Wednesday, but a 70th minute goal gave the Racers a 1-0 victory.  Lourdes was outshot 37-1 in the contest, but Kiley Transit made 15 saves in goal.  Goals by Isabelle Karamuco and Jenna Penz put Lourdes in front on Saturday, but Cornerstone rallied, and notched the match-winner with less than eight minutes remaining.  Transit made eight saves between the posts for the Gray Wolves in the 3-2 setback.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders are unbeaten in their last seven matches (6-0-1) and have won five straight after a 1-0 victory over Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday.  Nicolette Vultaggio leads Madonna with nine goals while Jamie Moceri has scored eight times as each has 19 points.  Julia Henning and Sierra Nissan have handed out a team-high six assists. In goal, Julia Stewart has played every minute, sporting a 0.63 goals against average and an .864 save percentage.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils are 1-3-1 in their last five matches after a 2-1 setback at Indiana Tech on Saturday.  Lawrence Tech hosts Siena Heights on Tuesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Lauren Wasiak has paced the offense with six goals and 15 total points while Alayne Nyboer has scored four times and dished out a team-high five assists for 13 points.  Rebecca Almandoz has played a majority of the minutes in goal, sporting a 1.9 goals against average and a .763 save percentage.

Looking to Qualify for the WHAC Tournament: The Gray Wolves enter the penultimate week of the regular season looking to capture some points to move into position to qualify for the WHAC tournament which begins Oct. 31.  The top eight teams advance to postseason play and the Gray Wolves enter the week four points shy of the final qualifying spot.  Lourdes faces Lawrence Tech, which is currently in eighth place, in Saturday's road finale.

Finding the Back of the Net: Both goal scorers in Saturday's match against Cornerstone found the back of the net for the first time in 2018 with their tallies.  Senior Isabelle Karamuco, who scored the first goal and assisted on the second, recorded her first points since 2016, when she scored three times and had seven total points.  Jenna Penz scored twice as a rookie in 2017 but her goal, the team's second of the match, was her first marker in 2018.

Solid Defense: With four matches remaining in the regular season, the Gray Wolves are on pace to post the best goals against average in program history.  Currently Lourdes is allowing 1.33 goals per match, yielding just 18 goals in the first 13 contests.  The Gray Wolf defense has not allowed fewer than 30 goals in a season in program history.

Looking for Some Offense: Lourdes has managed just five total shot attempts over the last three matches.  After being held without a shot against Aquinas and to just one at Northwestern Ohio, the Gray Wolves tallied four, all in the first half against Cornerstone, scoring on two of the four attempts.

Facing Ranked Foes: Lourdes loss to Northwestern Ohio marked the Gray Wolves' closest contest against a NAIA top-25 foe in program history.  The Gray Wolves are 0-8 all-time against top-25 teams, having yet to score, but had yielded at least two goals in every previous match.

Moving Up the Record Book: Karlie O'Keefe's ranks in second place on the school's career goal-scoring list with 12 entering the week.  She is one goal behind the all-time record-holder, Clare Ciarlino, who scored 13 goals in 2016 and 2017.  O'Keefe's 25 total points rank her third all-time at Lourdes, one point behind Remy Houttekier (2015, 2017) for second place.  O'Keefe is also tied with Ciarlino for third all-time with three match-winners, one behind the school-record of four set by Jada Foster (2015-2016) and Houttekier.

Nearing the Single Season Mark Too: Karlie O'Keefe enters the week with six goals on the season, one shy of the school's single season mark.  The current record is shared by Jada Foster (2015), Clare Ciarlino (2017), and Remy Houttekier (2017).

Captains Selected: Lourdes has tri-captains for the 2018 season.  Kiley Transit is serving as a captain for the second consecutive season while Reagan Boice and Delaney Gravlin are in a leadership role for the first time with the Gray Wolves.

This and That: Helena Rammal has played in a school-record 57 career matches while Karlie O'Keefe has made a school-high 475 career starts ... Lourdes has played three overtime matches this season  (0-2-1).
