Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes wraps up a brief two-match homestand on Wednesday hosting Lawrence Tech before taking to the road for four of their next five matches. Â The Gray Wolves travel to Siena Heights on Friday night before heading to Indiana-South Bend on Saturday afternoon for their final non-conference tilt of the season.Â
Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his ninth season on the Lourdes bench,
Greg Reitz has a 184-110 (.626) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Â In his 10th season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 202-145 (.582) career mark. Â He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.
Series Notes: Lourdes leads the all-time series against Lawrence Tech 14-1 dating back to Sept. 17, 2011. Â The Blue Devils posted their first victory ever against the Gray Wolves earlier this season on Sept. 12 in Southfield, Mich., a five-set win. Â Lourdes won the only previous meeting inside the Ebeid Rec Center in 2017. Â The Gray Wolves hold a 12-7 series edge against Siena Heights dating back to Sept. 10, 2010. Â Lourdes has won two straight meetings after a five-set triumph inside the Ebeid Rec Center earlier this year on Sept. 21. Â Lourdes is 2-1 all-time against Indiana-South Bend in a series that began Aug. 25, 2012. Â The Gray Wolves have won two straight against the Titans after a 3-0 sweep on Aug. 25 of this season inside the Ebeid Rec Center. Â Lourdes has never played the Titans in South Bend, Ind.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes earned a hard-fought 17-25, 25-15, 25-17, 16-25, 15-10 road victory at Indiana Tech on Wednesday evening. Â

Carol Goncalves all had double-doubles in the win. Â Friday the Gray Wolves had their 12-match winning streak snapped with a 20-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-23 non-conference loss at home to Marian. Â Oliveira had 21 kills and 19 digs while Goncalves tallied 53 assists and 14 digs.
Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils have dropped two of their last three matches after falling in four sets to Taylor on Saturday as part of the Liz Lykowski Tournament at Indiana Tech. Â Zakia Hunt leads Lawrence Tech with 200 kills and a .325 hitting percentage while Kristi Doherty has handed out 681 assists. Â Doherty also leads the team with 32 service aces. Â Defensively, Doherty has a team-high 263 digs while Hunt has been involved in 54 blocks.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week having won back-to-back matches after a five-set win over Grace at the Aquinas/Cornerstone Classic last weekend. Â Siena Heights hosts Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes. Â Christine Tylutki leads Siena Heights with 214 kills while Ashley Shay is hitting .260. Â Carrigan Gray has dished out 619 assists and has a team-leading 33 service aces. Â Defensively, Bianca Negron has tallied 362 digs while Shay has blocked 86 balls.
Scouting Indiana-South Bend: The Titans enter the week having dropped three straight matches at the Aquinas/Cornerstone Classic, the final match of which was a 3-0 setback to Northwestern Ohio. Â Indiana-South Bend hosts Trinity Christian on Tuesday and travels to Calumet on Thursday before entertaining Lourdes. Â Sarah Allison leads the Titans with 293 kills and a .224 hitting percentage while McKenzie Powell has handed out 559 assists. Â Robbie Berg has recorded 26 service aces. Â Samantha Hockstra leads the defense with 419 digs while Sydney Lubinski has recorded 65 blocks.
WHAC Tournament Berth Secured: With three weeks remaining in the regular season still, Lourdes has already secured its spot in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament. Â The top eight teams in the league qualify for the postseason event, with the top four hosting quarterfinal matches.
Another Winning Season: With eight matches remaining in the regular season, Lourdes has already assured itself of its sixth consecutive winning season, and seventh in the program's nine seasons.
Going the Distance: After playing just two five-set matches the entire 2017 season, the Gray Wolves have played five already in 2018, posting a 4-1 record in such contests. Â The five five-setters are the most for a Lourdes team since the 2014 season, when the Gray Wolves played six.
Among the Nation's Leaders: As a team, Lourdes is ranked 10th in the NAIA averaging 19.14 digs per set. Â The Gray Wolves are also 19th in assists per set, tallying 12.35, led by
Carol Goncalves, who is 18th nationally as an individual handing out 9.97 helpers per stanza. Â Lourdes is also 23rd in the country hitting .224 while the team's 13.08 kills per set are 27th best in the NAIA. Â
In the Record Books: Lourdes has several players who rank among the top-10 all-time in program history in various statistical categories. Â
Angelica Dippold is second all-time with 1,204 career digs and is sixth all-time with 279 sets played. Â Dippold also ranks ninth with 56 career service aces. Â
Emily Arnold is currently second in school history with a .286 career hitting percentage and is second with 210 total blocks. Â
Jami Markus is fifth with 849 career assists while
Carol Goncalves is eighth with 628 assists. Â
Sarah Wisser is ninth in the same category with 291 helpers. Â
Tylar Roberson is ninth all-time with 519 career kills.
