Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: The 2018 season comes to a close for Lourdes University this week as the Gray Wolves host a pair of matches.  Lourdes welcomes Concordia (Mich.) to Wildcat Stadium on Wednesday afternoon before entertaining Siena Heights on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves celebrate Senior Day prior to the match.

Head Coach Jackie (Donovan) Phillips: In her fourth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 23-38-6 (.388) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Concordia (Mich.) holds a 2-1 all-time advantage against Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 17, 2015.  Last year, in the only previous contest played at Wildcat Stadium, the Cardinals notched a 1-0 victory over the Gray Wolves.  Siena Heights holds a 3-0-1 series edge against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 31, 2015.  Last year the Gray Wolves earned their first result against the Saints, a 2-2 double-overtime draw at Wildcat Stadium.  The Saints are 1-0-1 against Lourdes in Sylvania.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Kiley Transit made 16 saves on Wednesday afternoon as Lourdes battled Madonna to a scoreless double-overtime draw.  The Crusaders outshot the Gray Wolves 26-6, but the Gray Wolves were able to end a three-match pointless streak with the tie in Livonia, Mich.  Lawrence Tech scored a 10th minute goal on Saturday afternoon on the way to defeating Lourdes 1-0 in Southfield, Mich.  Transit made five stops in the setback while Lana Bell tallied three of the Gray Wolves' nine shot attempts.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals have won three of their last four matches after defeating Siena Heights 2-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.  Samantha Golchuk leads Concordia with seven goals while Nina Palushaj has a team-high 16 points with six goals and four assists.  Janaya Lothian also shares the team lead with four helpers.  Maria Lulgjuraj has played all but 43 minutes in goal, and sports a 1.22 goals against average and a .833 save percentage.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week having dropped three straight matches after falling 2-0 at home to Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday.  Siena Heights travels to Aquinas Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Taylor Mulder leads the Saints with 15 goals and 35 points while Paige Rachut has handed out a team-high six assists.  Sophia Lentz and Kara Bishop have split time in goal this year.  Lentz has a 1.28 goals against average and a .786 save percentage while Bishop sports a 0.45 GAA and a .903 save mark.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor the six members of its 2018 senior class on Saturday prior to the match with Siena Heights.  Lana Bell, Reagan Boice, Isabelle Karamuco, Helena Rammal, Alyssa Swanson, and Kiley Transit are all participating in their final collegiate contests this week.

WHAC Defensive Player of the Week: Kiley Transit was named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against Madonna and Lawrence Tech.  The Gray Wolf netminder made 16 saves versus Madonna and five more against the Blue Devils.  In addition, the shutout of the Crusaders was her fourth clean sheet of the season.

A Record-Setting Effort: The 16-save performance for Kiley Transit against Madonna last Wednesday, Oct. 16, tied her own school single match record.  Transit made 16 stops for the first time on Oct. 15, 2016 against Northwestern Ohio and followed that up with another 16 saves at UNOH on Oct. 14, 2017.

Record-Setting Pace: With two matches remaining in the regular season, the Gray Wolves are on pace to post the best goals against average in program history.  Currently Lourdes is allowing 1.21 goals per match, yielding just 19 goals in 15 contests.  The Gray Wolf defense has not allowed fewer than 30 goals in a season in program history, and the school record is 1.72 goals allowed per match.

Lots of Field Time: Helena Rammal enters the final week of her career holding the school record for appearances with 59 over her four years, two more than classmate Alyssa Swanson.  Junior Karlie O'Keefe has started a school-record 49 matches while senior Kiley Transit is tied for second in starts with 35.

Moving Up the Record Book: Karlie O'Keefe ranks second on the school's career goal-scoring list with 12 entering the final week of the year.  She is one goal behind the all-time record-holder, Clare Ciarlino, who scored 13 goals in 2016 and 2017.  O'Keefe's 25 total points rank her third all-time at Lourdes, one point behind Remy Houttekier (2015, 2017) for second place.  O'Keefe is also tied with Ciarlino for third all-time with three match-winners, one behind the school-record of four set by Jada Foster (2015-2016) and Houttekier.

Nearing the Single Season Mark: Karlie O'Keefe ranks second on the school's single season list with six goals.  The current mark of seven is shared by Jada Foster (2015), Clare Ciarlino (2017), and Remy Houttekier (2017).

More Single Season Records: Kiley Transit is set to break the single season goals against average mark.  She is currently at 1.09 while Erika Brinkman set the standard at 1.46 in 2015.  Transit has already set a school mark with 99 saves.

Captains Selected: Lourdes has tri-captains for the 2018 season.  Kiley Transit is serving as a captain for the second consecutive season while Reagan Boice and Delaney Gravlin are in a leadership role for the first time with the Gray Wolves.

This and That: Lourdes has played four overtime matches this season  (0-2-2), tied for most in a season in program history ... the 0-0 draw with Madonna was the third scoreless tie in program history.
