Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes attempted to open the 2018 regular season on Saturday afternoon at Indiana East. The two sides played a scoreless first half when lightning arrived at halftime, forcing the second delay of the match. The contest was never able to be resumed and was officially cancelled with the stats being discarded since the match did not reach 70 minutes. It will not be made up.
Wrapping Up 2017: Lourdes finished the 2017 season with an 8-8-2 record overall. The Gray Wolves finished in a tie for seventh place in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with a 4-5-1 mark. Lourdes fell to Madonna 3-0 on the road in the quarterfinals of the WHAC tournament.

Scouting Point Park: The Pioneers opened their season on Saturday, suffering a 7-1 setback at home against top-ranked Spring Arbor. Point Park travels to Siena Heights on Tuesday before hosting Lourdes. Chloe Bowser scored the lone goal for the Pioneers while Ashtyn made 11 saves playing all 90 minutes in goal.
Lourdes in Season Openers: Lourdes is 1-1-1 all-time in season openers. The Gray Wolves fell 6-0 at home against 22nd-ranked Taylor to open the 2017 campaign. In Lourdes only previous season opener on the road, the Gray Wolves battled Rochester (Mich.) to a scoreless draw to begin the 2015 season, the first in program history.
A Program First: The Indiana East match marked the first time in program history that Lourdes has had a women's soccer match cancelled due to weather. In 2015, the Gray Wolves were awarded a forfeit victory over Marygrove due to lack of players in their only other scheduled contest that was not played or completed.
