Wildcat Stadium - Sylvania, Ohio

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes returns home to Wildcat Stadium for a pair of key matches in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings this week.  The Gray Wolves will entertain second place Madonna on Wednesday before Lawrence Tech visits Sylvania on Saturday afternoon for Lourdes' Senior Day.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her fifth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 31-45-6 (.415) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Madonna holds a 4-0-1 series advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to Sept. 30, 2015.  Last season the two sides battled to a double-overtime scoreless draw in Livonia, Mich.  The Crusaders have won both previous meetings at Wildcat Stadium, but have not visited Sylvania since 2016.  Lourdes and Lawrence Tech have split their four all-time meetings 2-2 in a series that began Oct. 21, 2015.  Last year the Blue Devils edged the Gray Wolves 1-0 in Southfield, Mich.  Lourdes won the only previous meeting at Wildcat Stadium 2-1 in overtime during the 2017 season.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Cornerstone scored the lone goal of the match just 3:09 into the contest on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Eagles downed the Gray Wolves 1-0 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Kerstyn Williams made seven saves in net for the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have won four straight matches, all via shutout, after downing Michigan-Dearborn 4-0 on Saturday.  Megan Verant leads Madonna with 10 goals, six assists, and 26 total points while Grace Thomas has added nine goals, five assists, and 23 points.  In goal, Alex Thomas sports a 0.70 goals against average and a .829 save percentage in 768 minutes of work while Brooke Bruletti has played 517 minutes, posting a 0.17 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils enter the week having won two straight matches after defeating Indiana Tech 4-0 on Saturday.  Lawrence Tech travels to Siena Heights on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Katelyn Mather leads Lawrence Tech with 13 goals and 29 total points while Dahlia Jerovsek and DiOnna Hill have each scored six times.  Alayne Nyboer has a team-leading eight assists for the Blue Devils.  In goal, Rebecca Almandoz has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 1.14 goals against average and a .825 save percentage.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will recognize the four members of its 2019 senior class prior to Saturday's match against Lawrence Tech.  Kenzie Cowell, Abby Miller, Karlie O'Keefe, and Lauren Poslaiko are all nearing the end of their Gray Wolf careers.

Among the National Leaders: Lourdes has a pair of players ranking in the top-50 nationally in the NAIA.  Abigail Mann is 39th in the country averaging 4.46 shot attempts per match while Kerstyn Williams is 44th making 6.67 saves per contest.

Matching the Wins Record: With eight victories already this season, Lourdes has tied the school record for wins in a season.  The 2015 and 2017 teams both posted eight wins as well, with only the 2017 team finishing the year .500 overall (8-8-2).  The Gray Wolves need one win to set the new win mark as well as assure themselves a second .500 season.

Mann Moving Up Single Season Charts: Abigail Mann leads the Lourdes offense this season with five goals, six assists, and 16 points.  Her five goals rank sixth on the school's single season charts, just one behind Clare Ciarlino (2016) and Karlie O'Keefe (2018) for fourth.  In addition, her six assists are tied with Tori Koontz (2017) for the Gray Wolves' single season record.  Mann's 16 total points are tied with Ciarlino's 2016 total for third on the single season charts.  She is two points shy of Ciarlino's 2017 total for second all-time and three points shy of Remy Houttekier's 2017 total of 19 points.

Who's in Today's Lineup?: Lourdes has suffered the injury bug throughout the season.  The Gray Wolves have only had five players start all 12 matches thus far this year.  Abigail Mann, Katie Varney, Karlie O'Keefe, Erin Caldwell, and Elaina Hillman have been the mainstays in the starting 11 throughout the season.  In addition, Maddy Hodgson, Morgan Henkle, and Erika Turk are the only other three players to step onto the pitch in every match.

A Record-Setting Shutout: With the clean sheet against Rochester (Mich.) on Oct. 5, Kerstyn Williams tied the Gray Wolves' shutout record with the sixth of her career, matching Erika Brinkman's (2015) career total at Lourdes.  Her four shutouts this year are tied for second with Kiley Transit (2018) on the school's single season chart as well, behind Brinkman's six clean sheets from 2015.

Looking for Another Career Mark: Karlie O'Keefe already holds the school's career goals record with 14 during her four seasons with the Gray Wolves.  The senior has 31 career points, and is just three points shy of Clare Ciarlino's (2016-2017) career points record of 34.

This and That: Lourdes is closing in on a WHAC tournament berth for the third time in program history ... 13 different Gray Wolves have registered at least one point this season with 11 players scoring at least one goal ... the team's 25 goals this season is second most in program history, trailing just the 2017 squad's 29 tallies.
