Match #17: Friday, November 1, 3 p.m. EDT
vs. Siena Heights (11-4-1, 7-2 WHAC)
Wildcat Stadium - Sylvania, Ohio

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: The final week of the 2019 regular season has arrived as Lourdes seeks a berth in next week's Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.  The Gray Wolves travel to Concordia (Mich.) for a Wednesday afternoon match before hosting Siena Heights on Friday to close out the campaign.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her fifth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 31-47-6 (.405) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Concordia (Mich.) have split their four all-time meetings 2-2 dating back to Oct. 17, 2015.  Last year the Cardinals scored a 3-2 victory at Wildcat Stadium.  The two sides have split the meetings in Ann Arbor 1-1, with the Gray Wolves' last appearance at Concordia coming in 2016.  Siena Heights holds a 4-0-1 all-time mark against Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 31, 2015.  Last season the Saints downed Lourdes 5-0 at Wildcat Stadium.  Siena Heights holds a 2-0-1 series edge in matches played in Sylvania.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell behind at halftime and dropped a 3-0 decision at home against Madonna on Wednesday evening.  Kerstyn Williams made 13 saves in goal for the Gray Wolves in the setback.  On Saturday, Lawrence Tech spoiled Senior Day for Lourdes, downing the Gray Wolves 5-0.  Williams made 11 stops in net.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals have dropped two of their last three matches after falling 3-2 at home against Siena Heights on Friday.  Samantha Golchuk leads the Concordia offense, scoring 15 goals while adding four assists for 34 total points.  Kendra Lewis has added four goals and 11 total points.  In net, Anna Roman has played most of the minutes for the Cardinals, sporting a 1.80 goals against average and a .825 save percentage.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week having won seven of their last eight matches, including two straight, after defeating Concordia (Mich.) 3-2 on Friday.  Siena Heights hosts Aquinas on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Julia Stancato leads the Saints with five goals and 11 points while Ashley Strong and Elizabeth Ferguson each have eight points on three goals and two helpers.  Sophia Lentz has played a majority of the minutes in goal for Siena Heights this season, posting a 1.36 goals against average and a .774 save percentage.

Looking for a Postseason Berth: The magic number is one for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves look to earn a trip to the WHAC tournament for the third time in program history.  Lourdes needs just a win or a tie in its remaining two matches to assure itself of playing in the quarterfinal on Nov. 6.  The Gray Wolves enter play this week tied for seventh place, and can move as high as a tie for fifth place with two wins depending on other league results.

Closing in on Saves Mark: Kerstyn Williams enters the week with 104 saves this season, just 11 shy of the school's single season mark.  Kiley Transit holds the single season record with 115, set in the 2018 campaign.

Among the National Leaders: Kerstyn Williams ranks 26th in the NAIA with 104 total saves this season while her 7.43 saves per match rank 30th nationally.  As a team, Lourdes' 114 total saves are 42nd most in the country.

Looking For the Wins Record: With eight victories this season, Lourdes has tied the school record for wins in a season.  The 2015 and 2017 teams both posted eight wins as well, with only the 2017 team finishing the year .500 overall (8-8-2).  The Gray Wolves need one win to set the new win mark as well as assure themselves a second .500 season.

Mann Moving Up Single Season Charts: Abigail Mann leads the Lourdes offense this season with five goals, six assists, and 16 points.  Her five goals rank sixth on the school's single season charts, just one behind Clare Ciarlino (2016) and Karlie O'Keefe (2018) for fourth.  In addition, her six assists are tied with Tori Koontz (2017) for the Gray Wolves' single season record.  Mann's 16 total points are tied with Ciarlino's 2016 total for third on the single season charts.  She is two points shy of Ciarlino's 2017 total for second all-time and three points shy of Remy Houttekier's 2017 total of 19 points.

Who's in Today's Lineup?: Lourdes has suffered the injury bug throughout the season.  The Gray Wolves have only had four players start all 15 matches thus far this year.  Abigail Mann, Karlie O'Keefe, Erin Caldwell, and Elaina Hillman have been the mainstays in the starting 11 throughout the season.  In addition, Katie Varney, Maddy Hodgson, Morgan Henkle, and Erika Turk are the only other players to step onto the pitch in every match.

Looking for Another Career Mark: Karlie O'Keefe already holds the school's career goals record with 14 during her four seasons with the Gray Wolves.  The senior has 31 career points, and is just three points shy of Clare Ciarlino's (2016-2017) career points record of 34.

This and That: Lourdes has had 11 different goal scorers and 13 players earn at least one point this season ... the Gray Wolves close the regular season at home for just the second time ever ... Lourdes is unbeaten (8-0) when leading or tied at halftime.
