at Aquinas (17-12, 14-6 WHAC)
Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center - Grand Rapids, Mich.

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Postseason play begins for Lourdes on Wednesday evening, as the Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich.  The seventh-seeded Gray Wolves face second-seeded Aquinas in the quarterfinals of the WHAC tournament.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his 10th season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 197-132 (.599) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his 11th season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 217-167 (.565) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.

Series Notes: Aquinas leads the all-time series against Lourdes 9-7 dating back to Oct. 7, 2011.  The Saints have won the last three meetings between the two schools, including both regular season contests this year.  Aquinas downed Lourdes 25-22, 25-18, 25-12 on Oct. 5 in Grand Rapids, Mich. and defeated the Gray Wolves 11-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 on Nov. 2 inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  The Saints hold a 4-2 series edge in matches played in Grand Rapids.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes cruised to a sweep at Rochester (Mich.) on Wednesday, hitting .273 as a team.  Emily Drenth posted 13 kills and added 11 digs in the 25-17, 25-11, 25-15 victory over the Warriors while Alli Plasencio registered 20 digs.  The Gray Wolves rallied from two sets down on Saturday in the regular season finale to defeat Northwestern Ohio 18-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-19, 17-15 in Lima.  Michaela Eisenhauer hit .320 with a team-high 12 kills while Kylee McBride added 11 kills and a match-high 17 digs.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter postseason having won six consecutive matches after sweeping Madonna on Saturday 25-9, 25-14, 25-21 at home.  Kylie Christensen leads Aquinas with 297 kills and is hitting .338 on the season while Kali Crawford has handed out 1,031 assists.  Karly Morris is the team's leader with 32 service aces while also pacing the defense with 539 digs.  Christensen is the Saints' block leader with 98, including 11 of the solo variety.

Lourdes in the WHAC Tournament: Lourdes is 11-7 all-time in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament, as the Gray Wolves are making their ninth consecutive appearance in the event.  Lourdes won the tournament titles in both 2015 and 2016 while advancing to the championship match in 2013 and 2017 as well.  Last season the Gray Wolves fell to Madonna in four sets in the quarterfinal round.  Lourdes and Aquinas have met just once in the WHAC tournament, a 3-1 Gray Wolf victory in the 2017 quarterfinals in a match played inside the Ebeid Rec Center.

Another .500 WHAC Season: For the sixth consecutive season, Lourdes finished conference play with at least a .500 record after winning its final two matches of the regular season.  The last time the Gray Wolves failed to finish at least .500 in WHAC play was in 2013 when the team went 5-6 before advancing to the WHAC tournament championship match and earning a bid to the NAIA National Championships.

Among the Nation's Leaders: Lourdes ranks among the NAIA leaders as a team in both digs per set and service aces per set this year.  The Gray Wolves are 42nd nationally in digs per set, tallying 17.89 while the team's 1.86 service aces per set are 43rd best in the country.

Single Season Digs List: Alli Plasencio jumped from 10th to fifth place on the Gray Wolves' single season digs list just last week.  She enters the WHAC tournament with 472 digs this year.  She needs 43 more digs to jump into fourth place on the single season list.

More Single Season Superlatives: Alli Plasencio has also moved into the top-10 on Lourdes single season service aces list this season.  She has tallied 38 aces, which ranks ninth on the single season list.  The sophomore is just one ace behind Stephanie Richards (2015) for eighth, and three aces away from jumping into sixth place.

Digging Balls: Angelica Dippold is second on the school's career digs list with 1,604, trailing just record-holder Michi Jimenez's (2012-2015) total of 2,143 digs.  Alli Plasencio has jumped into seventh place on the career charts with 656 digs in two seasons, and is just 13 digs behind Stephanie Richards (2013-2016) for sixth all-time.

Dippold Third All-Time in Aces: Angelica Dippold continues to move up the career list in service aces.  The senior has moved into third place all-time at Lourdes with 93 service aces.  She is 11 aces behind Stef Comte (2013-2016) for second place.

On the Assist List: Both Yasmin Assis and Sarah Wisser rank among the top-10 all-time at Lourdes in assists.  Assis is ninth with 407 helpers while Wisser is 10th with 390 career assists.

Lots of Action: Angelica Dippold ranks third in program history appearing in 389 total sets over her four-year career.  Dippold has seen action in 112 total matches, fourth most ever by a Lourdes women's volleyball player.

This and That: Kylie McBride and Alli Plasencio are the only Gray Wolves to appear in all 103 sets this season ... Lourdes 14 service aces at Northwestern Ohio matched a season high (Madonna, Oct. 30) ... the Gray Wolves are three victories away from 200 in program history.
