Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Postseason soccer begins on Wednesday afternoon for Lourdes University as the Gray Wolves travel to Lima, Ohio for the quarterfinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament. Â The eighth-seeded Gray Wolves will face top-seeded, and third-ranked Northwestern Ohio.
Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her fifth season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Phillips has a 31-49-6 (.395) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. Â She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Northwestern Ohio holds a 5-0 advantage all-time against Lourdes in a series that dates back to Oct. 14, 2015. Â The Racers downed the Gray Wolves during the regular season 6-1 in the WHAC opener in Lima, Ohio on Sept. 25. Â The goal by Lourdes was their first ever against Northwestern Ohio. Â The Racers are 3-0 all-time against the Gray Wolves in Lima.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes dropped its final road match of the regular season last Wednesday (Oct. 30) at Concordia (Mich.) 2-1. Â
Katie Varney tied the match at one early in the second half, but the Cardinals scored the match-winner with 23:51 to play in regulation. Â
Kerstyn Williams made seven saves for the Gray Wolves. Â In Friday's regular season finale, Siena Heights scored the match-winning goal with 2:01 left in the second overtime to defeat Lourdes 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium. Â Williams made 16 stops in goal to keep the match close.
Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers enter postseason having won 12 consecutive matches following a 3-2 victory at Lawrence Tech on Saturday.  Kate Agyemang leads Northwestern Ohio in scoring, having tallied team highs in goals (15), assists (11), and points (41).  Jeweleen Reuille has added 14 goals and 31 points while Julie Cazanave has 11 goals and six helpers for 28 points this year.  In goal, Lisa Venrath has played all but 225 minutes on the season, sporting a 0.48 goals  against average and a .841 save percentage while notching eight shutouts.
Lourdes in the WHAC Tournament: The Gray Wolves are making their third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament appearance in the program's fifth season, but are still looking for their first postseason victory. Â Lourdes was the seventh seed in 2015, falling 6-0 at Siena Heights in the quarterfinals. Â In their most recent appearance in 2017, the Gray Wolves fell 3-0 at Madonna also as the tournament's seventh seed.
Facing Ranked Opponents: Lourdes is 0-9 all-time against NAIA top-25 foes in program history. Â The Gray Wolves scored for the first time ever against a ranked opponent earlier this year in their match at Northwestern Ohio.
Williams Earns WHAC Honors: Kerstyn Williams was named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, her third league honor of the year. Â The junior goalkeeper made 23 saves, an average of 11.5 per match, while yielding just three goals and posting a .885 save percentage.
Playing the Latest Match in Program History: When Lourdes kicks off at Northwestern Ohio on Nov. 6, it will mark the latest into the season the Gray Wolves have every played a match. Â The Gray Wolves have only played in the month of November twice, the latest being Nov. 4, 2015 at Siena Heights.
A Single Match Record: Kerstyn Williams tied the school's single match record with 16 saves in the regular season finale against Siena Heights. Â
Kiley Transit set the record in 2016 and matched her own mark again in 2017 and 2018.
Among the National Leaders: Kerstyn Williams ranks 19th in the NAIA with 127 total saves this season while her 7.94 saves per match rank 27th nationally. Â As a team, Lourdes' 137 total saves are 30th most in the country.
A Single Season Saves Mark: Kerstyn Williams also broke Lourdes' single season saves record against Siena Heights. Â The junior has tallied 127 stops this year, bettering
Kiley Transit's previous mark of 115 set in 2018. Â Williams has also moved within 40 saves of Transit's career saves record of 259 set from 2016-2018. Â
More Single Season Records: Abigail Mann has tied Lourdes' single season record with six assists this season. Â The freshman has matched the mark set by Tori Koontz during the 2017 season.
Looking for Another Career Mark: Karlie O'Keefe already holds the school's career goals record with 14 during her four seasons with the Gray Wolves. Â The senior has 31 career points, and is just three points shy of Clare Ciarlino's (2016-2017) career points record of 34.
Who's in Today's Lineup?: Lourdes has suffered the injury bug throughout the season. Â The Gray Wolves have only had one player start all 17 matches thus far this year. Â
Elaina Hillman has been the only mainstay in the starting 11 throughout the season. Â In fact, only eight players on the roster of 29 have appeared in all 17 contests.
