Series Notes: Lourdes and Taylor are meeting for the fifth time on Saturday evening dating back to Sept. 19, 2015, with the Gray Wolves still looking for their first victory against the Trojans.  Taylor improved to 4-0 all-time against Lourdes with a 3-1 victory over the Gray Wolves last season.  The Trojans have won both previous meetings at Wildcat Stadium, with Taylor's last visit to Sylvania coming in 2017.

Wrapping Up 2018: Lourdes finished the 2018 season with an 4-11-2 record overall.  The Gray Wolves finished in a tie for 11th place in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with a 1-9-1 mark.  Lourdes failed to qualify for the WHAC tournament.

Scouting Taylor: The Trojans opened their 2019 season on Wednesday with a 4-0 victory on the road at Asbury.  Ali Clodgo scored twice while Victoria Hilse and Erin Teevans added goals for Taylor in the win.  Teevans also had the Trojans' lone assist.  Megan Williams and Lauren Cammarano split time in goal for the shutout, but neither goalkeeper was forced to make a save.  Taylor finished 2018 with a 12-4-4 record overall and a 4-3-2 mark in the Crossroads League.

Lourdes in Season Openers: Lourdes is 2-1-1 all-time in season openers after defeating La Roche 4-0 on the road to begin the 2018 campaign.  The Gray Wolves are 1-1 when beginning in the season at home, but have not played a  season opener at Wildcat Stadium since 2017, a 6-0 setback to Taylor.

2018 Award Winners: Erin Caldwell was named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Newcomer Team last season while Kiley Transit earned WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.  Abby Miller was selected to the WHAC Champions of Character Team while Reagan Boice, Kenzie Cowell, Isabelle Karamuco, Abby Miller, Karlie O'Keefe, Lauren Poslaiko, Alyssa Swanson, and Transit were all members of the WHAC All-Academic Team.  Karamuco, Miller, O'Keefe, Swanson, and Transit were also NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

In the Record Book: Karlie O'Keefe's 12 career goals rank her second on the school's career list, one behind Clare Ciarlino's (2016-2017) all-time mark of 13.  O'Keefe's 25 total points are third most all-time while her three match-winning goals are tied for third as well.  O'Keefe ranks second on the all-time shots chart with 81 career attempts.

Lots of New Faces: Of the 29 players on this year's roster, Lourdes has 13 newcomers, 12 of which are freshmen.  Katie Varney is the lone transfer in this year's incoming class, and is entering her junior season after playing two years at Davenport University.
