Lourdes Resumes Action at Cardinal Invitational

Final Results

After nearly two weeks off from competition, Lourdes returned to the links on Monday morning, finishing second at the Cardinal Invitational held at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Mich.
 
The Gray Wolves posted a total of 387 while Siena Heights was crowned the champion with a score of 353.
 
"Our ladies played pretty well today for having never seen the course before," head coach Gil Guerrero said after the round.  "We had some problems with our short game, but overall we played with an excellent attitude."
 
Tina Kindler (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll H.S.) led the way for Lourdes with a round of 91, finishing in fifth place overall.  Skyler Henry (Swartz Creek, Mich./Swartz Creek H.S.) was one shot behind Kindler on the 5,661-yard par-72 layout, firing a 92.
 
Lydia Quinn (Bloomington, Ind./South H.S.) carded a 101 while Lydia Smith (North Baltimore, Ohio/Van Buren H.S.) shot 103 to round out the Gray Wolf scoring.  Baylee Van Brunt (Onsted, Mich./Onsted H.S.) posted a 109 to complete the Lourdes lineup.
 
Madi Reed of Siena Heights was the medalist with an 84, one shot ahead of Alex Homann from Concordia (Mich.).
 
Lourdes will return to action on Tuesday morning, as the Gray Wolves compete at the Cleary Invitational.  Action begins at 9 a.m. at Chemung Hills Golf Club in Howell, Mich.
