BRIGHTON, Mich. – The Lourdes golf programs competed at the Cleary Invite on Monday, April 6. The event was hosted by Cleary University and featured seven men's programs and nine women's programs.
The women had a very impressive second place performance out of nine teams, finishing with a +79 over par. The event was a big improvement from the March tournament in Alabama when they finished in seventh place with a +229.
Shauna White led the way for the Gray Wolves, finishing in fourth place out of 43 individuals, with a +13 final score.
Claire Recker, Lourdes' last tournament's top golfer, finish tied for 10
th with a +18.
Kenzie Richardson followed Recker with a +23 and a 17
th placement.
The women's teams results are posted below. Lourdes was five strokes away from passing Aquinas for the tournament crown.

The Lourdes men finished in third place out of the seven teams, finishing ahead of Aquinas, Mott CC, Rochester, and U of M Dearborn. The team scored a 314, good enough for 30 over par. This was also a massive improvement from the Alabama spring break tournament when they finished in eighth place and 81 over par.
Once again leading the way for the men was
Charlie Robertson, he finished in third place out 41 men's golfers, with a +3 final score.
Grant Leis was second on the Lourdes squad, finishing tied for 13
th in the event with a +8 score.
Brock Fussell rounded out the Lourdes men's top three with a +9 score and a 16
th place finish overall.

Cleary's Axel Houdaille (men) and Lilly Stolz (women) won the individual awards for their respective divisions. Houdaille was the only golfer who shot under par. Lilly Stolz led the women with a +8 finish.
Overall, the Cleary event was a massive step forward for the Lourdes golf teams as they prepare for Friday's home golf event at the Ottawa Lake Legacy Golf Course.
