Lourdes (4-1, 0-0 WHAC)
Match #6: Wednesday, September 18, 2 p.m. EDT
at Ohio Christian (2-2, 0-0 RSC)
Soccer Complex - Circleville, Ohio

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Winners of four straight matches, Lourdes continues its three-match road trip on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Ohio Christian.  The contest is the final non-conference match for Lourdes during the 2019 season.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her fifth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 27-41-6 (.405) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Ohio Christian are meeting for just the second time in program history on Wednesday.  The Gray Wolves won the initial meeting between the two schools 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium on Sept. 15, 2018.  Morghan Russell scored the match's lone goal while Kiley Transit registered the shutout.  Wednesday will mark the Gray Wolves' first trip to Circleville, Ohio.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes extended its winning streak to four on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves defeated Huntington 1-0 in their first road contest of the season.  Karlie O'Keefe scored the match-winner while Abigail Mann drew the assist.  Kerstyn Williams made seven saves in goal for Lourdes to keep the clean sheet.

Scouting Ohio Christian: The Trailblazers have won back-to-back matches after scoring a 2-0 victory over Shawnee State on Saturday afternoon.  Brooke Lezotte has scored six of Ohio Christian's seven goals this year, including both match winners, and has 12 total points.  Sofie Galiffo added the other goal for the Trailblazers while Morgan Grunkemeyer has handed out the lone assist.  Danica Hanschu has played a majority of the minutes in goal, and sports a 4.01 goals against average.  She also has a .643 save percentage in 225 minutes of action.  Brittany Hanson has played 135 minutes and posted a 1.33 GAA and an .846 save percentage.

Best Start in Program History: After dropping the season opener, Lourdes has improved its record to 4-1 through its first five matches, the best start in program history.  Three times (2015, 2017, 2018) the Gray Wolves posted a 2-2-1 mark through five contests.  The best six match start prior to this year was 3-2-1 in both 2015 and 2017.

Matching the School Record: Lourdes enters Wednesday's match having won four straight contests, tying the school record for consecutive wins.  The Gray Wolves also posted four straight victories from Sept. 13-23, 2017 to originally set the school mark.  Prior to the four wins in 2017, Lourdes had a tie preceded by another victory, so the longest unbeaten streak in program history is currently six from Sept. 2-23, 2017.

O'Keefe Sets Two Scoring Records: Karlie O'Keefe's goal against Huntington last Wednesday set a pair of new school records.  She broke the school's all-time scoring mark with the 14th of her career, surpassing Clare Ciarlino's (2016-2017) total from 2016-2017.  The goal was also O'Keefe's fifth career match-winning goal, most all-time.  She broke the old school record of four held by Jada Foster (2015-2016) and Remy Houttekier (2015, 2017).  O'Keefe's 29 total points are second most all-time behind Ciarlino's 34 as she closes in on yet another career record.

Mann Takes Over Scoring Lead: Freshman Abigail Mann leads the Gray Wolves in scoring on the season, having been involved in one-third of the team's goals.  Mann has scored twice, tied for the team lead with Karlie O'Keefe, and also handed out an assist to give her five total points for the season.

Williams Nearing Shutouts Record: Kerstyn Williams recorded her third shutout of the season, and fifth of her career, on Wednesday against Huntington.  The junior goalkeeper is tied for second in program history with Kiley Transit (2016-2018) for career shutouts and her three this season rank third on the school's single season charts.

Defense Doing Its Job: The Lourdes back line has been solid over the four-match winning streak, allowing just one goal during the span.  During the stretch, the Gray Wolves have allowed opponents to fire off just 43 total shots (10.75/match), of which only 20 were on goal.

Experience in the Lineup: Karlie O'Keefe is the school's career record holder having made 56 career starts.  Her 56 all-time matches played ranks third in program history.  In addition, Lauren Poslaiko has moved into sixth alone all-time, having stepped onto the field 42 times in her four years.  Maria Schmidt has moved into fourth alone with 35 starting assignments midway through her junior year.

Goalkeeping Marks: Kerstyn Williams has moved into second place all-time at Lourdes with 118 career saves.  Only Kiley Transit (2016-2018), who had 259 career stops, has more in a Gray Wolf uniform.  In addition, when Williams moved into second place all-time at Lourdes for minutes played in goal last weekend, having spent 1602.03 between the posts.

Captains Announced: Karlie O'Keefe and Abby Miller have been named co-captains for the 2019 season.  Both are appearing in the leadership role for the first time in their careers.

This and That: Maria Schmidt is the only Gray Wolf with multiple assists this season and her three career helpers are fifth most in program history ... Lourdes has secured its third consecutive winning non-conference portion of the schedule ... seven different Lourdes players have scored a goal this season and 11 players total have registered at least one point ... Lourdes is outscoring its opponents 6-2 in the first half this year.
