Thunderstorms rolled into the Howell, Mich. area on Friday afternoon and forced the postponement of the opening round of the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree of the season being played at Chemung Hills Golf Club.
 
Most players had just one or two holes to play when lightning struck the area.  The opening round will resume on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. prior to the start of the regularly scheduled second round.
