Lourdes University head coach
Greg Reitz has announced that
Karina Norman has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Lourdes University beginning in the fall of 2022.
A native of Saginaw, Mich., Norman arrives at Lourdes from Nouvel Catholic Central High School where she helped lead the Panthers to a district championship and a regional semifinal appearance as a senior.
"We are excited to add Karina to the team in 2022," Reitz said. "She had a great run in the Michigan state tournament to finish out her high school career and we are looking for her to bring that drive and intensity once she is in our gym. Karina will likely compete for time as an outside hitter or defensive player."
Norman was a First Team All Tri-Valley Conference selection in 2021 as week as an All-Region honoree. She averaged six kills and five digs per game with the Panthers and set a school record with 14 kills in a match. Norman served as a team captain as a senior as well.
Upon arriving at Lourdes, Norman intends to major in nursing.
