Final Results
Facing a NAIA top-25 opponent for the first time in program history on Monday afternoon, Lourdes dropped a 7-0 decision to 23
rd-ranked Indiana Tech at Wildwood Racquet Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
 
"Playing such a high caliber team like Indiana Tech can sometimes be intimidating, but the guys really stepped up to the challenge and made their opponents work for every point today," head coach 
Megan Miller said after the match.
 
Aryan Mittal (Ghaziabad, India/DPS Indirapuram) and 
Ulises Barradas (Neuva Esparta, Venezuela//UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) played the tightest doubles match, falling 6-3 at the top of the lineup.  
Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) and 
Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) fell 6-1 at the second spot.
 
"We played very solid doubles as a team," Miller added.  "I was impressed with their grit for every point."
 
In singles action, Indiana Tech (3-1, 1-0 WHAC) swept each match.  Barradas again played the tightest match, suffering a 6-3, 6-2 setback at the second spot.  Mittal fell 6-0, 6-1 at number one while Brock lost by the same score at fourth singles.  Badr fell 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.
 
"This team has big things coming as they are improving with each and every match," Miller concluded.
 
Lourdes (1-3, 0-2) continues Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon, heading to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Aquinas.  First serve is set for 2 p.m. at MVP Sportsplex.
