Men's Tennis Falls 4-3 to Concordia on the Road

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's tennis team battled hard on the road but ultimately fell 4-3 to Concordia University on Monday afternoon.

"We shared a tough loss today but it gave Kaden the opportunity to rise to the occasion, which he did in no uncertain terms," said head coach Epifani Jones. "The men continue to exhibit such strong bonds in their core values."

The Gray Wolves dropped the doubles point despite a dominant performance from the team of Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez and Luis Guzman, who claimed a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles. However, Concordia won the other two doubles matches to secure the point.

In singles play, Joshua Parish led the charge with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. Guzman followed suit, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2, while Trillo-Sanchez continued his strong play with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3. Unfortunately, Kaden Robertson was defeated 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, and with no competitors at No. 5 or No. 6 singles, the match ended with a 4-3 loss for Lourdes.
