Final Results

After nearly three weeks off from competition, Lourdes returned to the courts on Friday afternoon, dropping a 7-0 decision to Aquinas inside of MVP Sportsplex in Grand Rapids, Mich.
 
"This loss stung a little," head coach Megan Miller said afterwards.  "We know we could have competed at a higher level than what we did today but it was great having all of the players back on the court again."
 
Aquinas (1-2, 1-1 WHAC) took a pair of doubles matches both by 6-1 scores.  Aryan Mittal (Ghaziabad, India/DPS Indirapuram) and Ulises Barradas (Neuva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) teamed at the top spot for the Gray Wolves while Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) and Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) played together at second doubles.
 
In singles action, the Saints won all five matches in straight sets.  Mittal played the tightest match at the top of the lineup, suffering a 6-3, 7-5 setback while Barradas dropped a 6-1, 6-0 match at the second spot.  Niladri Aich (Cooch Behar, India/Maumee Valley Country Day H.S. [Ohio]) fell 6-0, 6-1 at third singles while Badr suffered a 6-3, 6-0 loss at the fourth spot.  Brock dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision at fifth singles.
