Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Having closed out the home portion of the schedule last week, Lourdes takes to the road for its final four matches of the regular season beginning with a pair of contests this week.  The Gray Wolves head to Indiana Tech on Wednesday afternoon for a key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tilt before traveling to Aquinas for a Saturday matinee.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her sixth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 35-57-6 (.388) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Indiana Tech holds a 3-2 series advantage against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 10, 2015.  The Gray Wolves snapped a three-match losing streak in the series with a 3-1 victory at Wildcat Stadium last season.  The Warriors have won both previous meetings in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Aquinas is 5-0 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 28, 2015.  Last season, the Saints posted a 4-0 victory at Wildcat Stadium.  Aquinas is 2-0 against the Gray Wolves in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Chloe Shaffer and Jules Snowden scored in the first half and Elaina Hillman and Chloe Nofziger added second half tallies on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves defeated Bethel (Ind.) 4-0.  Lily Yoder made two second half saves after Kerstyn Williams went untested in the first half. On Saturday, Maddy Fleming, Alexis Gordon, and Emily Johnson gave the Gray Wolves a halftime lead and Cassie Stitt added a second half tally in a 4-0 win over Rochester (Mich.).  Williams and Yoder each made two saves.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors have dropped four straight matches after falling at Madonna 1-0 last Wednesday.  Molly Ames has scored a team-high four goals and has nine total points while Dani Blagojevic has four assists and eight points.  In goal, Christina Wynn has played the majority of the minutes, sporting a 2.53 goals against average and a .744 save percentage.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having won four straight matches following a 3-0 triumph at Northwestern Ohio last Friday.  Aquinas hosts Cornerstone on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Hannah Crum leads the Saints offensively with eight goals and three assists for 19 total points.  Sydney Shenk has added four goals while Macy Hollingsworth also shares the team lead with three assists.  Braeleigh McCoy has played the majority of minutes in goal, notching a 0.22 goals against average and a .944 save percentage.

Sharing the Wealth: Lourdes entered last week having scored eight goals in its first nine matches but found the back of the net eight times between the Bethel (Ind.) and Rochester (Mich.) matches.  In fact, eight different goal scorers contributed in last week's victories.  For the season, the Gray Wolves have had 12 different players score goals.

Tough Defense: The Gray Wolf backline was stingy in the two matches last week.  Lourdes yielded just 12 total shot attempts in the two contests (five against Bethel, seven versus Rochester).  The two shutouts give the Gray Wolves four total clean sheets this season, tied for fourth most in a season in program history.

Fighting for a WHAC Tournament Berth: Lourdes has three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matches remaining and need at least three points to have a chance to qualify for the postseason.  Currently sixth through eighth place all have six points while the Gray Wolves enter play this week with three.

Mixing Up the Lineup: Lourdes has had 19 different players draw at least one starting assignment this season.  Only Chloe Shaffer, Erin Caldwell, and Maria Schmidt have started all 11 contests.

Williams Owns All Career Goalkeeping Marks: Kerstyn Williams has set the Lourdes career record for every goalkeeping category.  She has eight career shutouts, two more than Erika Brinkman (2015).  She has passed Kiley Transit (2016-2018) for the school mark in every other category.  Williams has played 46 matches in goal, two more than Transit, and has spent 3474:26 between the posts.  She just surpassed Transit's record of 3420:11.  In addition, Williams has 275 career saves, 16 more than  Transit.  The senior's 1.84 career goals against average and .795 save percentage are both program bests as well.

Elsewhere In the Record Book: Abigail Mann scored her eighth career goal against Point Park, moving her into a tie for fourth on the Gray Wolves' all-time scoring chart with Jada Foster (2015-2016).  Mann is one goal behind Remy Houttekier's (2015, 2017) third place total of nine career goals.  Katie Varney ranks sixth on the all-time goals list, one behind Mann and Foster.  Mann is also fourth in school history with 22 career points while Varney is fifth with 18.

Lots of Appearances: Maria Schmidt ranks second all-time at Lourdes with 56 starts wearing the terra cotta and black.  She trails just Karlie O'Keefe (2016-2019) who started 68 contests during her time with the Gray Wolves.  Schmidt also is fourth in all-time appearances with 57, trailing Alyssa Swanson (2015-2018) by one match for third.  Erin Caldwell has moved into fourth with 42 career starting assignments, just two behind Poslaiko for third place.

Captains: Kerstyn Williams and Olivia Pomponio are all serving as the team's co-captains for the spring season.  Both are in their first season in the leadership role.

This and That: Lourdes has played 28 different players already this season ... the Gray Wolves have won 70 corner kicks while yielding just 34 this year ... Lourdes has yielded just one goal in its last 360 minutes of action.
