Lourdes wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday afternoon suffering a 7-0 setback to 20
th-ranked Northwestern Ohio at Westwood Tennis & Racquet Club in Lima, Ohio.
The Racers wasted little time showing why they are among the nation's best, winning both contests 6-0.
Aryan Mittal (Ghaziabad, India/DPS Indirapuram) and
Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta,Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) teamed at the top spot for Lourdes while
Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) and
Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant HS.) played second doubles.
In singles play, Northwestern Ohio (13-3, 5-0 WHAC) dropped just four games total. Mittal fell 6-0, 6-1 at the top while Barradas dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision at the second spot.
Niadri Aich (Cooch Behar, India/Maumee Valley Country Day [Ohio] H.S.) fell 6-0, 6-0 at third singles while Badr suffered the same score at the fourth spot. Brock dropped a 6-1, 6-0 match at number five.
Lourdes (3-7, 1-5) will wait for the pairings to be released before returning to action in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament which is slated to begin April 24.
