Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Postseason play begins for Lourdes University's women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves head to 18th-ranked Aquinas for the quarterfinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.
Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her sixth season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Phillips has a 36-60-6 (.382) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. Â She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Aquinas holds a 6-0 all-time advantage over Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 28, 2015. Â The Saints won the regular season meeting against the Gray Wolves back on March 20 in Grand Rapids, Mich. 3-0. Â Aquinas is 3-0 against Lourdes all-time in Grand Rapids.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Alexis Gordon scored with just under 13 minutes to play on Thursday afternoon (March 25), but Madonna defeated the Gray Wolves 3-1 in Livonia, Mich. in the final WHAC match of the campaign for Lourdes. Â
Kerstyn Williams made four saves while
Lily Yoder made five stops for the Gray Wolves. Â After Monday's match was postponed one night,
Abigail Mann scored twice to lift Lourdes to a 2-1 victory at Michigan-Dearborn on Tuesday (March 30) to close out the regular season. Â Yoder made a pair of saves in net for the Gray Wolves.
Scouting Aquinas: The Saints closed the regular season winning nine consecutive contests after shutting out Siena Heights 3-0 on Monday afternoon in the regular season finale. Â Hannah Crum leads Aquinas with 37 points this season, having scored 14 times while adding nine assists. Â Sydney Shenk has scored seven times. Â In goal, Braeleigh McCoy has played a majority of the minutes for the Saints, sporting a 0.44 goals against average and an .862 save percentage.
Lourdes in the WHAC Tournament: The Gray Wolves enter the WHAC tournament for the fourth time in program history, still in search of their first postseason victory. Â This marks the first time Lourdes has qualified for the tournament in back-to-back seasons after falling 5-1 at Northwestern Ohio in 2019 in the quarterfinals. Â Lourdes fell 6-0 at Siena Heights in their inaugural appearance in 2015 and 3-0 at Madonna during the 2017 tournament.
Mann Takes over Scoring Race: With her two goals in the regular season finale against Michigan-Dearborn,
Abigail Mann leads Lourdes in scoring this season with four goals and eight total points. Â She now has 10 career goals at Lourdes, third most in program history. Â She trails Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for second place by three goals.
Early Shots are Key: Lourdes has won five of the seven matches this season when the Gray Wolves have outshot their opponents. Â In addition, four of the Gray Wolves' five victories have come when they scored first and also led at halftime.
On the Single Season Charts: This season, Lourdes currently is tied for fourth at a team with 19 goals this season while the Gray Wolves' 12 assists are tied for third most in a single season. Â Lourdes is also fourth with 50 total points on the year. Â
Solid Defensively: As a team, Lourdes has posted a 1.60 goals against average thus far this season, making a run at the school record. Only the 2018 team has posted a lower mark in program history, finishing that year at 1.54. Â The Gray Wolves have notched four shutouts as a team, tied for fourth most in school history.
Williams Owns All Career Goalkeeping Marks: Kerstyn Williams has set the Lourdes career record for every goalkeeping category. Â She has eight career shutouts, two more than
Erika Brinkman (2015). Â She has passed
Kiley Transit (2016-2018) for the school mark in every other category. Â Williams has played 49 matches in goal, and has spent 3654:26 between the posts. Â In addition, Williams has 292 career saves. Â The senior's 1.87 career goals against average and .793 save percentage are both program bests as well.
Mixing Up the Lineup: Lourdes has had 22 different players draw at least one starting assignment this season. Â Only
Chloe Shaffer,
Erin Caldwell, and
Maria Schmidt have started all 13 contests. Â A total of 28 different players have stepped onto the field this year.

Abigail Mann ranks fourth in program history with six career assists and is tied for third with 26 career points. Â
Lots of Appearances: Maria Schmidt ranks second all-time at Lourdes with 60 starts wearing the terra cotta and black. Â She trails just
Karlie O'Keefe (2016-2019) who started 68 contests during her time with the Gray Wolves. Â Schmidt also is tied for second with
Helena Rammal (2015-2018) with 61 all-time appearances. Â
Erin Caldwell is third all-time with 46 career starting assignments.
Captains: Kerstyn Williams and
Olivia Pomponio are all serving as the team's co-captains for the spring season. Â Both are in their first season in the leadership role.
