Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: A pair of road matches are ahead this week for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves look to move into the top-four in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings.  The Gray Wolves travel to Indiana Tech on Wednesday evening before a battle with nationally-ranked Aquinas on Saturday afternoon.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her eighth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 48-67-17 (.436) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Indiana Tech holds a 4-3 series edge against the Gray Wolves dating back to Oct. 10, 2015.  Lourdes scored a 1-0 victory over the Warriors last season at Wildcat Stadium.  Indiana Tech has won all three previous meetings between the two schools in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Aquinas is 7-0-1 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 28, 2015.  The Gray Wolves battled the Saints to a 1-1 draw at Wildcat Stadium last season.  Aquinas is 4-0 against Lourdes all-time in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: A goal in the 32nd minute proved to be the only scoring on Wednesday (Oct. 5) as Madonna defeated Lourdes 1-0 in Livonia, Mich.  Emmy Rodger made four saves between the posts for the Gray Wolves in the setback.  On Saturday, Kayla Dillinger scored twice, once in the ninth minute and the game-winner just 1:07 into the second half, as the Gray Wolves downed Rochester (Mich.) 2-1 on Senior Day.  Rodger made four saves for Lourdes.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors are coming off a 2-1 setback at home against Cornerstone on Saturday afternoon.  Danielle Dunn and Rebeca Delgado have each scored twice this season for the Warriors.  Dunn also has two assists for six total points.  Alyssa Williams also shares the team lead in helpers with a pair.  In goal, Michaela Bitle has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 0.88 goals against average and an .897 save percentage.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having won six straight matches after defeating Northwestern Ohio 2-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.  Aquinas hosts Cornerstone on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Hannah Crum and Hannah Bowling lead Aquinas in scoring with five goals each this season.  Crum also shares the team lead alongside Sydney Shenk with 12 points as Shenk has scored four times and added four assists.  Laia Cunill leads the Saints ni helpers with five this year.  In goal, Kayla Shuk has played all but 180 minutes posting a 0.67 goals against average and a .769 save percentage.

Dillinger Leading the Offense: Kayla Dillinger became the 20th Gray Wolf in program history to score multiple goals in a match in the victory over Rochester (Mich.) on Saturday.  The sophomore leads Lourdes with four goals on the season, accounting for half of the team's total offense.  Dillinger's five career goals have moved her into the top-10 on the school's all-time list.

All Defense, No Offense, Away From Home: When Lourdes has ventured away from Wildcat Stadium this season, the Gray Wolves have yet to score a goal on the road in 2022.  However, the Lourdes defense has been nearly as stingy, having conceded just one goal as the Gray Wolves have played to three scoreless draws in four matches.

Looking to Move Into the Top Four: Lourdes enters the week tied for fifth place in the WHAC standings, just one point out of third and fourth place.  The Gray Wolves are looking to secure a top-four finish and host a WHAC tournament match for the first time in program history.

Setting the Career Mark: Emmy Rodger recorded the ninth shutout of her career against Lawrence Tech on Oct. 1, surpassing the previous school record of eight career shutouts set by Kerstyn Williams (2017-2021).

Rodger Third All-Time in Saves: Emmy Rodger's 106 career saves already rank her third on the school's career list, passing Erika Brinkman (2015).  Kiley Transit (2016-2018) is next on the list for Rodger to catch.  Transit finished her career with 259 stops.

Mann Holds Career Records: Senior Abigail Mann holds all of the school's career offensive records.  The senior has scored 16 career goals, two more than any other player in program history, and notched her 13th career assist earlier this year, giving her four more than the second place total.  Mann's 45 career points are 11 in front of second place as well.  She also holds the school mark with 172 shot attempts, the only Gray Wolf with more than 100 on the list.  Mann's five match-winning goals are tied with Karlie O'Keefe (2016-2019) and current teammate Chloe Shaffer for most in school history.

Moving Up the Scoring List: Brynn McGarvey scored her seventh career goal in the opener against Rio Grande, moving her into a tie with Katie Varney (2019-2021) for seventh on the school's all-time goals list.  McGarvey also has 15 points now, moving into eighth place on the all-time charts, two points behind Jada Foster (2015-2016) for seventh.  The match-winner was the third of her career, moving into a tie with Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for sixth all-time.

Lending a Helping Foot:  In addition to Abigail Mann's school record assist total, Chloe Shaffer ranks in the top-five for career helpers.  Shaffer has handed out five career assists, tied with Tara Blundell (2015, 2017) for fifth on the all-time charts at Lourdes.

This and That:  Lourdes is outshooting its opponents 123-90 this season ... a total of 24 different Gray Wolves have stepped onto the pitch this year ... 19 different Lourdes players have at least one shot attempt.
