Final Results
Lourdes rebounded after dropping the doubles point to defeat Franklin 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at Shadow Valley Tennis Club to remain undefeated in dual matches on the fall.
Franklin (0-3) won at first and third doubles to take the opening point as
Niladri Aich (Cooch Behar, India/Maumee Valley Country Day [Ohio] H.S.) and
Josh Parish (Columbus, Ohio/Cristo Rey H.S.) teamed for a 6-4 victory for the Gray Wolves at the second spot.
Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) and
Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium]) dropped a 7-5 match at the top of the doubles order while
Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) and
Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) fell 6-2 at third doubles.
The Gray Wolves swept the top five spots in singles action all in straight sets to rally for the victory.
Ondrej Skokan (Pardubice, Czech Republic/Gymnazium Dasicka 1083) won 6-1, 6-3 at the top of the lineup while
Luis Guzman (Santo Domingo, D.R./Cranston East [R.I.] H.S.) was a 6-4, 6-1 victor at the second spot to improve to 9-2 on the year.
Theo Casadei (Annecy Le Vieux, France/CNED) added a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at third singles while Parish added a singles triumph to his doubles win with a 6-1, 7-6 (1) victory at number four. Trillo-Sanchez was victorious at fifth singles 6-3, 6-1 while Brock dropped a sixth singles contest 6-0, 6-1.
Lourdes (4-0) returns to the courts on Monday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Mount Vernon, Ohio to face Mount Vernon Nazarene. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. at the Ramser Tennis Courts.
