Match #15: Wednesday, October 26, 7 p.m. EDT
vs. Cleary (3-10, 1-8 WHAC)
Wildcat Stadium - Sylvania, Ohio
Match #16: Saturday, October 29, 12 p.m. EDT
at Michigan-Dearborn (3-7-2, 2-6-1 WHAC)
Star International Academy - Dearborn, Mich.

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes heads into the final week of the regular season in search of its first home WHAC tournament match in program history.  The Gray Wolves close out the home slate on Wednesday evening hosting Cleary at Wildcat Stadium before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday at Michigan-Dearborn.

Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her eighth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 50-69-17 (.430) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes leads the all-time series against Cleary 5-1 dating back to Sept. 23, 2015.  The Gray Wolves have won four straight in the series after notching a 5-0 victory over the Cougars in Howell, Mich. last season.  Lourdes is 3-0 against Cleary at Wildcat Stadium.  The Gray Wolves are 3-1-1 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn in a series that began Oct. 24, 2017.  The two schools played to a 1-1 draw at Wildcat Stadium last season and have split the two previous meetings on the Wolverines' home pitch.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Brynn McGarvey's goal in the 17th minute was the only tally of the match on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves defeated Concordia (Mich.) 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium.  Emmy Rodger made a pair of saves in goal.  On Saturday, Siena Heights scored three times in a 2:07 span late in the match to defeat Lourdes 3-2 at Wildcat Stadium.  Emily Johnson put Lourdes up 1-0 with a goal with two seconds left before halftime and Natalie Samples tallied another with 58 seconds remaining in the match.  Rodger made three stops between the posts.

Scouting Cleary: The Cougars have dropped five straight decisions after falling 3-0 at home against Aquinas on Saturday afternoon.  Felicia Mosely has a team-high five goals and shares the team lead with 11 points on the season.  Elena Strauss also has 11 points, including a team-best three assists.  In goal, Tara McGrath has played a majority of the minutes, posting a 2.41 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines enter the week having defeated Indiana Tech 1-0 on Saturday.  Michigan-Dearborn hosts Siena Heights on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes.  Emmi Pinkowski paces the Wolverine offense with three goals and seven points on the season.  Gabriella Teems has handed out a team-best two assists.  In goal, Amelia Strochine has played nearly a majority of the minutes, sporting a 1.30 goals against average and a .738 save percentage.

A Battle for a Home Postseason Match: Lourdes enters the final week of the regular season in sixth place in the WHAC standings, just two points outside of fourth, where the Gray Wolves would have the opportunity to host a quarterfinal contest for the first time in program history.  The easiest path for the Gray Wolves to host a postseason match is with two wins and a loss by both Siena Heights and Northwestern Ohio.

Reaching #50: Lourdes victory over Concordia (Mich.) last Wednesday was the 50th in program history.  The Gray Wolves began playing women's intercollegiate soccer in 2015.  The win was also the 50th career collegiate coaching victory for Jackie Phillips.

All Her Goals are Winners: Brynn McGarvey scored her third goal of the season last Wednesday against Concordia (Mich.).  All three of her tallies this season have been match-winners, one shy of the single season mark set by Jada Foster in 2015.  The sophomore now has five career match-winners at Lourdes, sharing the school record with three others.

Playing a Lot of Matches: Erin Caldwell enters the final week of the regular season needing to make just one more appearance to match Karlie O'Keefe's career record with 69 appearances in a Gray Wolf uniform.

More School Marks: Emmy Rodger recorded the 11th shutout of her career against Concordia (Mich.) last Wednesday, extending the all-time mark she broke earlier this season.  Rodger's seven clean sheets this year set a new single season mark, surpassing the old record of six set by Erika Brinkman in 2015.

Rodger Third All-Time in Saves: Emmy Rodger's 118 career saves already rank her third on the school's career list, passing Erika Brinkman (2015).  Kiley Transit (2016-2018) is next on the list for Rodger to catch.  Transit finished her career with 259 stops.

More School Records: Abigail Mann holds all of Lourdes career scoring marks.  The senior has scored 16 goals, handed out 13 assists, and racked up 45 total points in her four years with the Gray Wolves.  Mann also has attempted 172 shots during her time at Lourdes, 71 more than any other player in history.

Fit to Be Tied: Prior to the 2021 season, Lourdes had played to just six draws in the first six seasons of the program's history.  Over the last two years, the Gray Wolves have had a match end in a tie 11 times.

Mixing Up the Lineup: Only Emmy Rodger, Chloe Shaffer, and Annah Zacerkowny have started all 14 matches this season for the Gray Wolves.  Karlie Heilman and Gianna Salatino have each drawn 13 starting assignments for Lourdes this year.

This and That:  Natalie Samples scored her first collegiate goal against Siena Heights on Saturday ... Zoey Trout had an assists on Samples' goal, her first collegiate helper and point ... Emmy Rodger has a 0.79 goals against average, on pace to break her own single season mark of 0.98 from last year.
