Cornerstone Results

Lourdes wrapped up play at the WHAC Preview on Tuesday, defeating Cornerstone 3-2 in the completion of Monday's suspended match before falling in the fifth place contest to Lawrence Tech by the same 3-2 score at Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Mich.
 
Action resumed on Tuesday morning with the Gray Wolves and Golden Eagles tied 1-1.  Emma Mulder (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) needed just one hole to finish off her 4&2 victory while Tina Kindler (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll H.S.) played two more holes to win her match by the same margin.  Shauna White (Somerset, Ohio/Sheridan H.S.) pushed her contest to the 18^th hole before falling 1-up.
 
In the second session against Lawrence Tech, Morgan Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) cruised to a 7&6 triumph after posting a victory in match one on Monday 6&4.  Mulder won her second match of the of the tournament as well, 3&1.
 
Kindler battled to the end before falling 2&1 while White suffered a 4&3 setback.  Jordan Bucher (North Baltimore, Ohio fell 6&5 in her contest.
 
Lourdes returns to stroke play tournaments on Monday, hosting the Gray Wolf Invitational.  Action begins at 10 a.m. at Sylvania Country Club.
