Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes wraps up its brief two-match road trip on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves head to Livonia, Mich. to battle Madonna. The Gray Wolves return to Wildcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Senior Day as Lourdes hosts Rochester (Mich.).
Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her eighth season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Phillips has a 47-66-17 (.427) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Madonna holds the all-time advantage against Lourdes 7-0-1 dating back to Sept. 30, 2015. The Crusaders have won three straight against the Gray Wolves after a 2-1 overtime in at Wildcat Stadium in 2021. Madonna is 3-0-1 against Lourdes all-time in Livonia, Mich. The Gray Wolves are 4-1-2 against Rochester (Mich.) in a series that began Sept. 2, 2015. Lourdes has won three straight meetings between the two schools after downing the Warriors 4-0 last year in Washington Township, Mich. The series is tied 1-1-1 at Wildcat Stadium.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Northwestern Ohio scored a goal in the 32nd minute and added an insurance tally in the 56th minutes on Wednesday (Sept. 28) as the Racers defeated Lourdes 2-0 at Wildcat Stadium.
Emmy Rodger made three saves in goal for the Gray Wolves. On Saturday (Oct. 1), Lourdes and Lawrence Tech battled for 90 minutes before settling with a scoreless draw. Rodger had five stops on her way to earning the shutout.
Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders are coming off a 5-1 setback at Aquinas on Saturday afternoon which snapped their two-match winning streak. Abby Werthman leads Madonna with four goals and nine points while Vitoria
Sia has added three goals this year. In net, Brooke Bruletti has played every match, sporting a 1.53 goals against average, a .712 save percentage, and has notched five shutouts.
Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors enter the week having won four of their last five matches after defeating Indiana Tech 2-1 on Saturday. Rochester hosts Aquinas on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes. Sammi Springer leads the Warriors offensively with seven goals and 16 total points. Olivia Howes also has seven goals this season while Teagan Betzold has 14 points, including five tallies. Kennedy Fraser leads Rochester with six assists. In goal, Lyndsey Price has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 2.39 goals against average and a .633 save percentage. Anabelle Yeloshan has also played more than 260 minutes, notching a 0.35 GAA and a .938 save mark.

All Defense, No Offense, Away From Home: When Lourdes has ventured away from Wildcat Stadium this season, the Gray Wolves have yet to score a goal on the road in 2022. However, the Lourdes defense has been just as stingy, having yet to concede a goal as well as the Gray Wolves have played to three scoreless draws.
Setting the Career Mark: Emmy Rodger recorded the ninth shutout of her career against Lawrence Tech on Saturday, surpassing the previous school record of eight career shutouts set by
Kerstyn Williams (2017-2021).
Rodger Third All-Time in Saves: Emmy Rodger's 98 career saves already rank her third on the school's career list, passing Erika Brinkman (2015). Kiley Transit (2016-2018) is next on the list for Rodger to catch. Transit finished her career with 259 stops.
Mann Holds Career Records: Senior
Abigail Mann holds all of the school's career offensive records. The senior has scored 16 career goals, two more than any other player in program history, and notched her 13th career assist earlier this year, giving her four more than the second place total. Mann's 45 career points are 11 in front of second place as well. She also holds the school mark with 172 shot attempts, the only Gray Wolf with more than 100 on the list. Mann's five match-winning goals are tied with Karlie O'Keefe (2016-2019) and current teammate
Chloe Shaffer for most in school history.
Moving Up the Scoring List: Brynn McGarvey scored her seventh career goal in the opener against Rio Grande, moving her into a tie with
Katie Varney (2019-2021) for seventh on the school's all-time goals list. McGarvey also has 15 points now, moving into eighth place on the all-time charts, two points behind Jada Foster (2015-2016) for seventh. The match-winner was the third of her career, moving into a tie with Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for sixth all-time.

Chloe Shaffer ranks in the top-five for career helpers. Shaffer has handed out five career assists, tied with Tara Blundell (2015, 2017) for fifth on the all-time charts at Lourdes.
