Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: The 2022 regular season comes to a close for Lourdes women's volleyball on Wednesday evening. The Gray Wolves will host Northwestern Ohio on Senior Night, looking to build momentum heading into next week's WHAC tournament.
Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his 13th season on the Lourdes bench,
Greg Reitz has a 227-180 (.558) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. In his 15th season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 247-216 (.533) career mark. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.
Series Notes: Lourdes leads the all-time series against Northwestern Ohio 12-10 dating back to Oct. 2, 2010. The Gray Wolves have won the last six meetings between the two schools after defeating the Racers in four sets on Sept. 14 in Lima, Ohio. Lourdes holds a 3-2 series edge in matches played inside the Ebeid Rec Center.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes defeated Lawrence Tech last Wednesday 17-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 behind 12 kills from both
Jolie Sobb and
Abby Gentile.
McKenna Hall and
Alli Plasencio led the defense with 20 digs each while
Cammy Smith tallied six blocks. On Friday, the Gray Wolves notched a road sweep at Michigan-Dearborn 25-16, 25-16, 25-15. Gentile put down 14 kills while Plasencio picked up 17 digs. Lourdes fell in three sets on Saturday at home against Siena Heights 25-17, 27-25, 25-16. Sobb and Smith led the offense with seven kills each while Hall recorded 21 digs.
Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers have won two straight matches after defeating Rochester (Mich.) in five sets on Saturday afternoon at home. Logan Thomas leads Northwestern Ohio with 355 kills while Hope Fetherolf is hitting .181. Savanna Reed has handed out 534 assists on the season while Casey Kingsland has dished out just one fewer. Taylor Reust leads Northwestern Ohio with 56 service aces on the year. Defensively, Aubree Ricketts has picked up 447 digs while Reust has a team-high 73 blocks, including 15 of the solo variety.
Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor the four members of its senior class prior to Wednesday night's match against Northwestern Ohio.

A Bunched Standings: Entering the final week of the regular season, Lourdes is sixth in the WHAC standings with the top-eight teams qualifying for the league tournament. The Gray Wolves can finish no higher than sixth, but are just one-half game ahead of seventh place. Lourdes could slip to as low as eighth heading into the tournament.
Looking for a Winning Home Mark: Lourdes enters the home finale 7-7 inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The Gray Wolves are looking to finish over .500 with a victory over Northwestern Ohio. Lourdes is 53-30 all-time inside the Ebeid Rec Center since it opened in 2016.
Serving Up Aces: Lourdes has had six different players serve up double digit ace totals this season. The Gray Wolves have registered 178 service aces as a team while committing just 154 service errors.

Plasencio Nearing Digs Mark: Earlier this season at Madonna,
Alli Plasencio became just the second Gray Wolf in program history to reach the 2,000-dig plateau. She is now closing in on the program's career dig mark. Plasencio enters the regular season finale with 2,090, trailing Michi Jimenez's (2012-2015) 2,143 digs by just 53 on the all-time charts. Plasencio has tallied double figure dig totals in all 28 matches thus far this season and in 49 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Plasencio All Over the Record Books: Alli Plasencio also ranks second all-time with 121 service aces, trailing just Lexie Curtis' (2013-2016) 164 on the chart. Plasencio has set the career mark at Lourdes having appeared in 480 sets. She is also tied for second with Michi Jimenez (2012-2015) having played in 132 career matches. Her next appearance will tie Stef Comte (2013-2016) for most matches played ever in a Gray Wolf uniform with 133.
Also in the Record Books: Cammy Smith has climbed into third place on the career blocks list with 197. Emily Arnold (2017-2018) ranks second all-time with 237 rejections.
Katey Stakolich has moved into third in school history with 1,308 career assists, needing 143 more to match Hannah Thompson (2010-2011) for second on the all-time chart.
Even More Top-10 Performances: Kylee McBride enters the regular season finale with 584 career kills, needing 14 more to match Katie McKenty (2012-2014) for seventh all-time.
Lydia Landoll just cracked the top-10 in career service aces with 69, ninth most at Lourdes. She needs nine more to match Michi Jimenez's (2012-2015) eighth place total of 78.
McKenna Hall moved into the top-10 in digs and is now ninth with 547 over her three years. She needs 46 more to match Stephanie Ruffing (2015-2016) for eighth place.
This and That: Alli Plasencio is the lone Gray Wolf to appear in all 99 sets this season ... Plasencio enters the week with 513 digs this season, needing two more to move into fifth place on the single season chart ... 18 of the Gray Wolves' 28 matches this season have been straight set decisions (8-10).
