Final Results
Lourdes University's number one doubles team of 
Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) and 
Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium]) recorded their second straight victory on Friday afternoon but the Gray Wolves dropped an 8-1 match to Adrian inside the Merillat Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.
 
Barradas and Dieltiens were 8-5 winners over the Bulldogs' top team of Ryan Cuddy and Brandon Folk.
"The men are doing quite well," commented head coach 
Epifani Jones after the match. "Although today's match was a loss, there was inspired play across the board. I am certain that in a short amount of time, you could look back to this moment as the turning point for the season as well as for the program."
 
Adrian (5-5) earned wins at both second and third doubles.  The Gray Wolves team of 
Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Monteverde Academy) and 
Niladri Aich (Cooch Behar, India/Maumee Valley Country Day [Ohio] H.S.) fell 8-4 at number two while 
Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) and 
Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) fell by the same score at the third spot.
 
In singles action, Dieltiens forced a tie-break for the third set before falling 5-7, 7-6, 1-0 at the top of the lineup.  Barradas dropped a 6-2, 6-1 match at number two while Aich suffered a 6-4, 6-3 setback at the third spot.  Trillo-Sanchez retired in the second set for Lourdes at fourth singles while Badr fell 6-2, 6-1.  Brock rounded out the lineup with a 6-4, 6-0 setback.
 
Lourdes (0-7) will host Saint Francis (Ind.) in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon.  First serve at Shadow Valley is set for 3 p.m.
