Final  Results

Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium] H.S.) forced a match tie-break at number one singles on Friday evening, but Lourdes dropped the overall match to Cornerstone 7-0 at the Grand Rapids Racquet and Fitness Club in Grand Rapids, Mich.
 
Dieltiens took the opening set 6-4 before falling 6-0 in the second set.  He was then edged 10-8 in the match tie-break.
 
Cornerstone (11-7, 1-3 WHAC) won the other five singles matches in straight sets.  Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) had a competitive match at the fourth spot, falling 6-2, 7-5.  Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) suffered a 6-1, 6-3 setback at second singles while Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at the third spot.  Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) fell 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles while Niladri Aich (Cooch Bahr, India/Maumee Valley Country Day H.S.) rounded out the lineup with a 6-0, 6-3 loss.
 
The Golden Eagles took the opening point of the match sweeping all three doubles contests.  Barradas and Dieltens fell 6-0 at the top of the lineup while the second doubles team of Badr and Trillo-Sanchez along with the third doubles duo of Brock and Aich each dropped 6-2 decisions.
 
Lourdes (1-8, 0-5) will return to the courts next Saturday, April 9, to play a pair of matches.  The Gray Wolves will face Manchester at 1 p.m. and Franklin in a 4 p.m. contest at the Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex in Franklin, Ind.
