Final Results

Lourdes wrapped up the regular season in triumphant fashion on Monday, beating both the rain and Concordia (Mich.) in a 7-0 sweep over the Cardinals at Shadow Valley.
 
The Gray Wolves began with a strong showing in doubles.  After winning third doubles by default, Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium] H.S.) and Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) teamed for a 6-0 victory at the top of the lineup to secure the opening point.  Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) and Nilardi Aich (Cooch Behard, India/Maumee Valley Country Day H.S. [Ohio) the combined for a 7-6 (1) win in a tie-breaker at the second spot for the duo's first doubles win of the year.  For Trillo-Sanchez, the victory was his first as a collegian as well.
 
Lourdes took a 2-0 win after picking up sixth singles by default.  Barradas registered a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at second singles while Trillo-Sanchez followed with his first collegiate singles win at the third spot, 6-0, 6-1, to secure the match victory for the Gray Wolves.
 
Dieltiens picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win at the top of the order before Kareem Badr (Orlando, Fla./Montverde Academy) added a 6-2, 6-2, win at the fourth spot.  Dominick Brock (Grant, Mich./Grant H.S.) completed the sweep just as the rain began to fall on the outdoor courts with his 6-2, 6-0 victory at fifth singles.
 
Lourdes (2-8, 1-5 WHAC) will have several weeks off to prepare for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament which begins April 29 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  The league office will announce the official tournament pairings following the competition of the regular season for all schools.
