Final Results
Concluding its first 54-hole tournament of the season, Lourdes finished in fourth place at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Concordia (Mich.) on Tuesday at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Entering the final round in a tie for fourth, the Gray Wolves fired a final round 360 to post 1,078 for the tournament. Lourdes was seven strokes behind third place Cleary and 12 shots ahead of fifth place Aquinas in the final standings. Siena Heights won the tournament at 1,056, 12 shots ahead of runner-up Spring Arbor, which carded the best final round at 350 to finish at 1,068.
Jordan Bucher (North Baltimore, Ohio/North Baltimore H.S.) led the way for the Gray Wolves in the final round, firing an 86 on the 5,552-yard, par-72 course. For Bucher, it matched her collegiate best round and moved her into 15
th in the final individual standings with a 273 total.
Emma Mulder (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) turned in the best score for Lourdes throughout the tournament, placing eighth individually with a 262 total. The junior shot a final round 91. Freshman
Shauna White (Somerset, Ohio/Sheridan H.S.) also shot 91 on the final day to post 274 for the tournament while
Morgan Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee H.S.) carded a 92 to finish at 272, second best for the Gray Wolves in the tournament.
Hannah Craig (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) concluded the tournament with a 93 to post a 54-hole total of 284.
Caitlin Lysher of Spring Arbor won the tournament in a playoff after she tied with Madeline Swett of Cleary and Skylar Whitman of Siena Heights with a total score of 255 after regulation.
Lourdes will return to the links on Sept. 21 as the Gray Wolves take part in the Aquinas Invitational. Action begins at 10 a.m. at Kaufman Golf Course in Grand Rapids, Mich.
